Really enjoy your videos mate , I am in the UK , I splurged on used DSLR and telescope setup a few years back but the light pollution , weather and lack of free time meant I didn't use the equipment as much as I should have . The power of smart phones now is incredible, I own a pixel 8 pro and it's so satisfying and simple to scratch the itch without the massive investment. I don't miss polar alignment, dealing with condensation, clouds , rain and the multitude of cables and hardware involved.

Aren't there apps for the iPhone that do the same sort of thing? Taking a photo every so many seconds I mean? I may be wrong but could have sworn I'd come across some not long ago?
@ShayneMostyn2 ай бұрын
Nope, well not like this. There are intervalometers on some photog apps, but only 1-2 seconds. Even Longer did it a while ago to 30 seconds, but the quality is not quite there with the end resulting images. Has to do with what Apple lets the developers have access to in the camera.
@MarkBowenPiano2 ай бұрын
@@ShayneMostyn I've just looked in the App Store and there are a few in there that allow long times. One even goes longer than 30 seconds. Admittedly that one doesn't go into night mode so no idea what the results would be like but I've seen a few in there which definitely go up to 30 seconds. Might be some apps are only available in some territories as I know I had an app on my iPhone 12 Pro Max which when I updated to the iPhone 16 Pro Max last week it wouldn't download as said it was only in the US now 🙁 Oh and I did post on your video about the problems you've been having about the photos and the weird blue blotches so you may have seen it already but no problems here with this phone on any lens. All come out perfectly black. I think they'll need to take every hundredth phone or something off the line as soon as it's made and then send them to different parts of the world as I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the supply chain? Scanning them or something like that. Hopefully if they've got your phone back though they'll be able to figure out what's going on with them though.
