I read about you guys in a piece pertaining to Tom Petty (RIP). As a 57 year-old, and lifelong Petty fan I can see why he appreciated your band:1. Yours is obviously not made up group, but real guys as real songwriters and real players. A real band.2. You sound as good playing live as on the studio recordings. One of the finest marks of a great band.3. You certainly love putting on a great show.4. Well-written, tight songs with an emphasis on a solid riff. The lyrics and vocals are very impressive. 5. I love the appreciation for vintage instruments. This is exactly the same kind of feel I got when I first heard The Heartbreakers. Your potential to go big is profound, so best wishes for that opportunity. No doubt, Tom Petty would've loved to see that happen. Best of luck from a fan who is well into his 50s.

I saw them play before the Head and the Heart and you’re absolutely right they have an amazing energy and passion playing live. In many ways they are like the Killers in that respect, still having fun with being musicians and performers. They(the Killers) do an amazing cover of American Girl also which I heard at Boston Calling this past May. Glad you can still find the same type of spirit in music that Petty had and inspired others to have.

I am hearing echoes of the musical parts of Paperback Writer by The Beatles circa 1966 & Pleasant Valley Sunday by The Monkees circa 1967. Alternative Rock 91X aka 91.1 FM in San Diego started playing The Shelters first song "Liar" this past March/April. 91X has been playing Rebel Heart since May. Dig the happy spirit of this catchy tune! 8-)

I heard this song the other day for the first time when I was at a Marriott Hotel. It is excellent! It has a nice Beatles sound to it. I am so glad that there are still some good bands coming out with great music. May Rock and Roll live on!
