In this guide series I take a look at each god’s respective abilities and describe how they function and what situations they are best used in. I also go over builds, relic choices, ability leveling, and combos with each God. The guides are typically made for new/returning players but I don't shy away from more technical ideas/mechanics, so who knows, you might learn a thing or two!
For builds the first build I put is the one I personally rely on/recommend, then, any other builds are sourced from high level players, usually referenced against builds from prosmitebuilds.com, which gathers builds from high level players in ranked and pro play.

He definitely is my favorite mage very definitely has some terrible matches but he is my most played mage and in those hard match up It just feels impossible to do anything.

Yeah sometimes you get put in situations on him where you either need your teammates to make a good play for you or the enemy to mess up, and that moment never comes

@@Shenmoki can you try out my build on conquest? I always have top stats end game but I haven’t tried conquest. I build tainted steel, prophetic cloak, charons coin, chronos pendant, spear of desolation, and ethereal staff. I haven’t lost a game with him with that build. Seriously, I feel like he does so much damage that I don’t need to build him full power. Plus my play style is usually up close and personal I like to be in their face. So building a bit tanky allows me to stay in fights and destroy with his damage.

I’m commenting so people know how to build zhong kui another way lol I mean I love you shenmoki but I’ve played him a number of time with my build and end the game with top stats every time. I build tainted steel, prophetic cloak (eventually evolved), charon’s coin, chronos pendant, spear of desolation, and last ethereal staff. Relics (depends on who you’re up against, but I use beads and aegis or horrific emblem for hunters/assassins). I always end the game with top mitigated and top damage. Most of the time top kills too. I mean it works for my play style I like to be in the fights and up close and personal so that build allows me to rank and do a ton of damage. I haven’t tried it out in conquest but so far I’ve won every game mode other than conquest with that build. Yeah Zhong uses Tainted Steel really well, and he works great with Prophetic Cloak especially considering how easily he can stack it with his first ability's poke. I'd probably go something like Magus over Chronos Pendant just for more percent pen

Zhong is a bit underAted , but he does have bad matchups for sure . The thing is , he will do a lot of damage even in bad matchups once he has both relics , but he is reliant on his team mates playing smart , following up and finishing the enemies off . Once he gets alternate timeline , and his full build late game , zhong will erase people from existence and definitely can end a game himself .

Don’t get me wrong we play totally different games, I play assault pretty much strictly so it’s less of a want to play hybrid half the time as much as of must lol

Are the builds used in this video still good to use?

Yeah they're not bad at all. But a good one right now is Sands of Time > Bancroft's Talon (upgrade this into the Claw Glyph ASAP) > Spear of Magus > Typhon's Fang > Soul Reaver > Rod of tahuti. That build gives you excessive lifesteal for survivability, great damage with Spear and Rod, and good tank damage with Typhon's and Soul Reaver. Warlock's Staff is a safe build too. Sands of time > Warlock's Staff > Spear of Desolation > Divine Ruin > Ethereal Staff > Obsidian Shard This one relies more on being ACTUALLY tanky rather than relying on lifesteal to survive fights, so use this one if they have excessive hard cc (which would stop your damage) or built in antiheal (to stop the lifesteal)
