Great video as usual Mark. This is a perfect example of why it's always a good idea to keep a roll of tape on hand.

@@reservedone1791 thats a strange comment, what has my ability got to do with it? My point was that my springers never run out of air and do not require any electricity to function, which means I don't have to carry a tank or strap a charger to the stock! Each to their own

Like pcp they are accurate and great but pumping all time or getting dive bottle filled up costs I had airarms s410 now just stick to my springers so much more reliable considering a gas ram as you can leave cocked longer than springer

prime example why not to use a electrically actuated air rifle for hunting if not charged it is uselesseverything it does can be achieved with a gold standard such as a daystate huntsman of any variant no battery reguired

@@le3045acp I'm not sure where you live Lee but fortunately the power grid where I live is pretty reliable, and if there is a power cut it only lasts an hour or two. Not buying/using a Delta Wolf because you are concerned about power outages is pretty odd.

What's .177 about?? - when they are hit with a .22, they stay hit!! (maybe the pellet makers just want to charge the same for less Lead & the gun makers, pander to it) We are talking 10 to 45 or so yards pest control here. (for a clean kill) Flatter Trajectory is Bollocks until one gets into Target & Match shooting!! (In my humble opinion of course) Oh yes, & most 177's are not Match grade rifles!! (Same Hole PCP's are not allowed for this discipline)
@matty1255
@matty1255 Жыл бұрын
Both have their place on the market, 177 is effective on everything you can legally hunt in the UK with an airgun. I can honestly say I have never thought my 177 needed more stopping power. I own both 177 and 22 and hunt with both.

"Can't expect too much, hunting with the air gun after all" Mark's a great shot and all, but maybe try and find someone with an ounce of passion for airgunning to present The Airgun Show 🤦‍♂
@260rips
@260rips Жыл бұрын
When I said can’t expect too much hunting with an airgun I meant because of the need to get closer to the quarry. Shooting with a rimfire allows for much more forgiving shot placement, longer range shooting and better wind deflection, shooting with a shotgun allows for shots on the move … your obviously going to shoot less with an airgun over anything else!?? As for passion for airguns I probably own more than the average airgunner and have been using them for 40 years and still love shooting them. The air rifle is a precision tool for which it has a place in every pest controllers armoury. Why is it people are so quick to jump on every single comment they think they can pick holes in or turn into a negative with no basis but assumption?
@greylag8630
@greylag8630 Жыл бұрын
@@260rips okay okay - I put my hands up, it was a little negative. However it came across as a throw away statement about air gun hunting. Yes, I’ve been out lamping at night with 12bores on a Landy and we’ve come home with 50+ bunnies in a few hours but tbh I enjoy my time out with a thermal and NV with my sub 12 far more and I’ve shot WAY more rabbits in total with an air gun. I don’t shoot FAC, so can’t comment on that, but perhaps a little more context to your statements would clarify things? I guess I’m a little protective of the air gun community as It seems to me like we are a dwindling sport esp as BASC etc seem to have little or no respect for the air gun world.
