Hi! I am currently in the process of applying the PR through Family Reunification Program. There are certain things that I wanted to clarify before I fill those parts. Following are the questions: 1. My wife is a Canadian PR holder and lives in Canada. I am applying through her as an immediate family member, do I need to add her as a dependent in the ‘Additional Family’ form and provide her travel history too? 2. Do I have to add my brother to the ‘Additional Family’ too? FYI he is in Canada already and came under the CUAET program. 3. If the answer is ‘Yes’ for the above two questions - For Photo Requirements, do I have to add a photos for my wife and my brother both? Thank you and your answers will be much appreciated.

@natashtepa
@natashtepa 25 күн бұрын
Hi there. If you went through CUAET, you should have already submitted you biometrics during that application. So you may go ahead and submit PR application as is. Most likely they will ask to resubmit biometrics again later, as it might have expired. I know a case where the PR application was submitted and within a month an additional request came for biometrics. Don’t worry, it’s normal practice for IRCC to ask for additional documents - this will not reflect negatively on your application. Make sure to check your email and spam folder regularly and submit all the requested documents on time. Have you got all other documents ready for this application?

While my spouse is from Vancouver and has a family home there. Another question that comes to my mind is if the address on the statutory declaration and my application should have the same address or can have two different addresses as my wife will be filling the declaration form? 3. @natashtepa 10 ай бұрын
Thank you for watching! We are glad you found it helpful🙂 Regarding the fees, they were only waved for the emergency situation - when the war began and it was critical to get to safety as soon as possible. In case of PR, it is assumed that the applicant is already in safety (in Canada). I must mention though, that even though there is a fee for PR application, it is still lower for this program compared to others. It consists of two parts, and first part is the same - right of permanent residency fee is $515. But the application submission fee is different: standard application processing fee is $870 where here you are required to pay $550. Are you planning to apply?

Hi there. I understand your concern, it is very frustrating to not have a clear answer.. I would encourage you to keep waiting and check your status. If it is Submitted, it means that your application hasn’t been opened yet. One it changes to In Process this will mean that the officer started working on it and things should get moving soon. It does take several month for some applications to get going. There’s not much you can get from the IRCC - the will give you the same information as you see on your portal. At this time it’s going to be a waiting game - stay patient and check your portal from time tot time. Good luck!

Thank you for the detailed guide. Just above the Statutory Declaration IMM 0191, see at the top of the screen at 14:59 of this video, it specifically states: "...Do not print and scan any of these forms..." It is kind of misleading, because there is no way around without printing it. I called to a commissioner of oaths, they accept printed forms only. Do you have anything to add on this? I guess it wasn't just me, there might be many other people who stumbled upon this clause.
@natashtepa
@natashtepa 8 ай бұрын
Hi there. It’s a very good catch, thank you for pointing it out! The comment does say that there might be exceptions and suggest to refer to program guide to check those exceptions. Generally, if you’re submitting an online application , majority of forms have to be filled online using fillable adobe documents. The only form that I can assume needs to be printed is Statutory Declaration attesting your relationship with Canadian resident/citizen. The reason being, it needs to be authorized/notarized by an official. I can see it being done through printing, stamping a physical copy and then scanning and uploading it to the portal. Hope this helps. And let me know if you have any further questions:)

@@natashtepa Thank you, I guess this might imply that this form could also be sent for signing to the commissioner for oaths, public notary, etc. However not all of them are willing to step away from paper. Hi there! I am in the process of filling out IMM5406, and I am stuck. The principal applicant is my spouse, and I am a Canadian citizen. The question is: do we need to state my information in that form (because on the first page it mentions that the form only needs to contain information about family members/relatives that are not yet Canadian citizens/have PR)? Also, what exactly should be put into the address field if we are physically present together with my spouse - the address where we live or the places where we were born? Thanks!
@natashtepa

Hi there. For relatives, you would usually include all relatives they are asking about. If you don’t have children, for example, you would just say N/A or check the box for “I don’t have any”. Regarding address - you have to state your current address. So if it’s the same for you and your spouse, that’s ok - just put the same one in there

Hi there. Great question! The application allows you to add several dependents to the main applicant profile. When adding a dependent, they’ll be asked to specify the relationship to the main applicant. The list of dependents includes children, partners, parents, grandparents etc. Your sister may be the main applicant and include her family members as dependents (spouse and child). However, it appears that parents need to submit their own application as they are not legally dependent on your sister. @@sergiiboikov6323 yes, it’s usually a waiting game. I understand it can be nervewracking and frustrating. Based on the example above, it looks like it takes them around 9 month to get through processing. Good luck and let us know if you have any questions!

@@sergiiboikov6323 your application number should be in the correspondence you have with IRCC. If you have received any letters from them, it will be noted in the top right corner of the pdf document. You may also try to look it up using your UCI (unique client identifier). In any case, you will be able to view your application number once you receive any type of email from IRCC. Did you receive anything from them since you applied?

Hi there. You can apply, but through a different program. This particular program is limited for those with family Canadian members. Check out our earlier video where we cover Express Entry and other immigration programs: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hKrQnmyGaZmXmKssi=8T8kN_sRuPIsZ42C
