X-lite X803RS Ultra Carbon motorcycle helmet review

Wondering if the clear part is removable on the outside of the helmet I don't race so I don't really need that big obtrusion sticking out and I'd prefer to be able to mount a light back there

Do you mean the rear spoiler? Yes that large spoiler is removable, it comes with the regular spoiler parts that you can replace the large one. The owner's manual shows how to remove and install the spoiler. There's a plastic tool that comes with it as well. I think I shown that in the helmet unboxing video.

Well done review.. glad to see your channel. I have some questions. What’s the different between RS and the normal one of x-803. Also I’m struggling to choose between this helmet and the shoei x-fourteen. Any advice?

If not mistaken, there is the normal X803 which uses composite fiber shell, X803 ultra carbon which has the carbon fiber shell, and the X803 RS ultra carbon that has the large race spoiler at the rear. I haven't tried the Shoei X-14 so I cannot comment about it. Since both models are being replaced with newer ones, X-15 and X804, you can probably get some good deal for either one.. Very good review sighbored , in my opinion we don't need to spend a lot money to buy a helmet on carbon fiber. HJC, X Lite and Shark for exemple sells a lot helmet on carbon fiber at a good price under 600€/$ and all helmet are lightweight than AGV Pista GP / GP RR ( 1450kg ) and less expensive than AGV (under 1200€/$) . The best value for a good helmet for riding commute and or track day are on these 3 brands. AGV it's a great brand but to much overpriced and overrated.

Totally agree, AGV looks awesome and cool, but the price tag on it is just crazy, even though I do have one old Pista GP myself, just too expensive.

Kalau tak silap, RPHA11 yang jenis plain tak ada design tu boleh dapat bawah 2K.. Siap ada 2 visor, anti-fog. Not bad. RPHA12 sudah keluar, mungkin 11 akan ada discount/clearance nanti..

Bagi saya kalau dari 5 star saya kasi 4 star sebab kurang suka dengan visor lock system dekat tepi visor tu..

Sumpah hensem bro, baru ingat nak ambik old stock agv pista gp r 2016 for 2500 ringgit, tapi this helmet looks much better tbh hahaha
