Every year we give everyone new pajamas, a book, and some chocolate to be opened on Christmas Eve after church. We still do this even though my boys are grown and we've added a daughter in law to our family. ❤️

I’m totally with you on laundry! It’s amazing how quickly I can get behind. Our Christmas traditions are: the day after Thanksgiving, I give everyone matching pjs and we decorate the tree together while listening to Christmas music. On Christmas Eve, we put our pjs on, put some hot cocoa in travel mugs and drive around to see all of the decorated houses. When we get home we snuggle and watch a holiday movie together.

This is the first year I have all my Christmas gifts ordered and wrapped before Halloween even arrived. It has made such a difference in the stress level. Now it's just relaxing and enjoying. We love getting all in the car and driving around looking at lights. We always have a snow tubing day with friends and family.. then the day ends around a fire eating smores and drinking hot chocolate.

Look into a lemon/citrus bitter spray! It's safe to use on most everything, it's natural and cats hate it. Since I used it w mine when she was a kitten, she learned and I've had absolutely ZERO issues since! I had to spray it on cords, plants, some furniture, etc.

This year, By August 1st, I had all my Christmas shopping done and everything wrapped and in my closet. I had my Advent calendar set up and gifts for that all wrapped as well. I decorated outside mid November and decorated inside (tree and all) a week before Thanksgiving. 😊 First time EVER.

December is a crazy month for us! My son turns two two weeks before Christmas and my daughter turns one the week before, so it is three weeks of celebrations! I am currently pregnant with baby number three and we will have three under three in six months. I am such a ahead-of-time person though. This year we are combining our kids birthday parties for a donut and digger theme. Already have the decorations, catering figured out, desserts to be baked planned, and presents wrapped. I also already have all our Christmas gifts bought and wrapped, along with our Christmas candy for the stockings. I put our Christmas decorations up the day after Thanksgiving. My kiddos love the Christmas tree! We leave the lights on all day until they go to bed and they love to play with the ornaments. We got our son a gingerbread Christmas tree to decorate from Walmart and he was thrilled. It is a great memory. My husband is an ER physician and is working all of Christmas so we are going to celebrate as a family in the early morning before his shift and then I will pack the kiddos up and head over to my grandparents where over 50 of us gather every year to celebrate. Looking forward to it! It has been hard with being in the first trimester and being overly nauseous all the time, but I want my kiddos to feel the Christmas magic that us as parents create! We also talk a lot about the birth of baby Jesus since that is the true meaning of Christmas and my kiddos are getting the Fischer Price nativity set for Christmas and they will love it!

I'm totally with you on laundry. I do 1 load a day and still get behind sometimes. While I'm watching your video, I have bedding in the washer and drier and a load of laundry ready when its time to put it in the washer. I'm also getting a few loads folded and put away while I'm watching.

I work in retail and have for years, and due the business, demands of work and attitudes of the customers I have hated Christmas for years. I unfortunately was never able to carry on the customs of my childhood and was to tired to create new ones with my children. One of my worst memories of Christmas was coming home after a bad day at work , and saying I hate Christmas not realizing my young daughter was in the room. The look on her face is still with me and she is about to turn 28.

My family does this thing called Christmas hide and seek and it's where you turn off all the lights and turn on all the Christmas lights throughout your house, and play hide and seek. It's so fun and I highly recommend even my grandpa loves it

Hey! My daughter has the same problem with clothes. The pants are to short but fit perfect in the waist and if I go up a size then the waist is extremely to big but fit perfect in the length. She always is a size smaller in the pants than the shirts. You can probably try to get regular size 4/5 or XS like in Target. Usually the “toddler” sizes run wider. I also know that Carters has “slim” sizes for smaller waists… 😉

My 9 year old daughter is the same way with her pants! She does not like the tightness of jeans, how they constrict her. She’s always been that way. Not sure if it’s a sensory thing, or fabrics... but I know my 2.5yr old daughter wears jeans!

You probably already know this but now that you have a cat your going to have to be careful what you defuse because a lot of essential oils are toxic to cats, just wanted to let you know if you did not know that. I love your cleaning videos it gives me so much motivation so thank you!!

Hey! Thanks so much for looking out! I agree, many brands of oils are not safe to diffuse around pets or anyone really. I do feel very comfortable diffusing young living oils around Penelope though! YL even has a whole line of products and oils for pets! My rule of thumb is to always leave a exit option for her so if she doesn’t like what’s being diffused, she can leave the area. Hello from Ohio from Julie. My girls are the same with leggings all around...the fit issue. Sew a button onto leggings and a piece of elastic to the opposite side cut holes in the elastic for the button to go threw now they will grow with her waist. Copied the idea from jeans.

What do you do with all of the art your kids bring home from school?

This is our first year with them going to school. Emmi is the only one who brings home homework and art and wow there’s a lot of it! As of now it’s all sitting in a pile 😂 I guess my plan is to let it collect in a designated spot. Then at the end of the year go through it and pick out just a few special pieces to keep? Anybody else have a system they love? I’m all ears!

Your cat isn't naughty, it is your mistake to leave the plant next to the tub after she already knocked it over. Either you have 10 kids, or just WAY too much plates, bowls, & silverware for them!
