I heard somewhere that the Grim Reaper in the Sims series partially refers to the Grim Reaper or Death from Pratchett's Discworld. There he adopted a girl, whose parents he led to afterlife. Then he had a granddaughter

Quailhog's worlds are so so good- filled with lore, interesting sims, and cool builds. I've been playing in Huntsborough as a black widow sort of sim. She just killed her husband (he was abusive and in a cult so it's fine) and she & her 2 stepkids are staying at a wealthy friend's estate. I think after she marries and kills the friend, she's gonna change identities and restart. Anyway, Huntsborough doesn't look as creepy from the outside as some of the creator's other worlds, but there's a cult, a demon child, a banshee, etc.

I would absolutely love it if you spoke more about Wraith, I fell in love with that town the moment I saw that red water, I immediately thought abt the Evangelion remade movies and that combined with the amount of lore and the fantastic creative builds like the bridge convinced me I just have to get my grubby little hands on it asap!! @@daniellehayes1986 there's a link to it in the description which worked just fine for me! do know that it does require quite a bit of expansion packs though, and theyre all listed at the very beginning next to the versions of the world that you can get (the beta version, the final version and a bonus L.W. Switt estate)

Speaking of creepy towns, in the Moonlight Falls graveyard there is a tombstone for the sim Fricorith Tricou except he died by fire instead of satellite. An easter egg left by EA or potential lore? 🤔

I think, since he's the only Tricou to make an appearance there, that he was solely added for the purpose of correcting a mistake. He was probably supposed to have died in that fire along with his other relative (whom I do not remember exactly), so when they had to fill the Graveyard in Moonlight Falls, they also included him. Death by satellite just seems too silly to me.

It could be nothing but I noticed the remains of a small house in one of the corners of moonlight falls. It looks like it may have burned down & most of the remains in the graveyard died by fire so I thought that was interesting. Plus the other like 4 non interactive lots in moonlight falls. I really wish there was a story I could find about any of them.

Cronor is so good! I agree 1000% abt it being 1st place! I was so obsessed with it I created all the Households to fill the houses from scratch ajsnsjsn. What I like to do to add more lore is to move the Portal from ITF to the airport and pretend Oasis Landing is a neigbouring planet and the "descendants" are relatives of the sims who traveled there bc of the matching scifi themes of both worlds! its honestly amazing, im obsessed with it 😫

I was so excited to see that there was a new video!! At first, I thought, 9 worlds?? Cronor is so beautifully detailed, dark, grimey and creative, with lot's of inspirations with most notably cyberpunk. I recommend it for any scifi fan.

Thank you for these wonderful suggestions. From the worlds in your list that I have played, my favorite is Cronor as well. This world is really special and very well made. One of the creators called Nornities or Norn, shares more interesting worlds in their tumblr. Some of them are ideal for a Halloween theme.

Moonlight Falls is an interesting town, though I personally don’t find it creepy, but it’s inspiration isn’t exactly Forks, WA. The clocktower design of the town hall and the waterfall the town gets its name from are references to The Vampire Diaries show where the characters live in Mystic Falls and constantly have drama between the Founding Families with one being a family of werewolves and three eventually being made up of mostly vampires. There are references to both Twilight (La Shove Beach; the Swann’s) and TVD, but the town itself has the “Uncanny Hamlet” vibe of Mystic Falls where nothing is ever as it seems than the “traditional, small town that a coven of vampires live in because it’s convenient” of Forks. Overall, Moonlight Falls is an amalgamation of the two; Twilight was just easier to base families off of because TVD would’ve required Teen-Young Adult romances that require mods.

If you register your game in The Sims 3 Exchange you can download the user created ones for free. EA ones require points which can be bought on the Sims 3 website as well. ☺️
