If you have a cancelled interaction that's stuck in the que thingy, just reset the sim. Prevents potential "lag" issues too (like sims not performing new interactions quickly/at all). I feel like James should know this, but he almost never does it... (=..=')

2x speed is way more efficient than 3x speed. when in 3x speed, the sims often stall for like 10-15 sim minutes between animations, and in many things that the sims do (e.g. eating, painting) progress is based on the animations completing rather than a timer. (each bite fills the hunger bar, every time the paintbrush is on the canvas, the painting gets closer to completion.)

Bea Flores I know this is about the Sims but honestly that sounds so real and it's adorable. Like a movie or something. Actually, funnily enough my playthrough ended up being the same. My sim, Trevon, went to Foxbury and at the Romance Festival the Guru said that a tall, dark stranger would appear in my life. So I looked around and because my game is hella fucked there was only 2 Sims on the lot (minus the workers like the stall people and mixologists) and she looked like the description so i got Trevon to date her. Turns out she was Becca, one of the girls from the University trailer and coincidentally goes to Britechester.

James, form a study group and purchase the skill boosts. Anything course-related builds skills (which skill depends on the class, and displayed under class name on work tab) so skill boosts help A LOT.

10 tips: 1. I think the "glitch" of filling your needs when you go to class early isn't a glitch at all, but intentional. It reminds me of Strangerville, how your needs start falling super fast as you progress through the story, but eating the weird fruit stuff fills your needs completely. Having a full course schedule, along with a job (my Sim was a soccer player, 4 hours a day, 6 days a week) and organizations, gets a little impractical without that glitch. And it only fills your bladder (offsetting no public toilets except for in dorms and the commons), hunger (offsetting no stoves or kitchens), and energy (offsetting cheap dorm beds). Social, fun, and hygiene still have to be managed by you. But you don't HAVE to go to class early. You can still get an A+ if you're late. I tried testing this with my Sim. For one of her classes, she did her homework every day, and she turned in an outstanding term paper. She also took notes every class, but she was late to every class because I purposely didn't let her go early, to avoid filling her needs. She got an A+. But I tried it with a different class, only turning in a normal term paper, and she got a B (maybe B+, I don't remember exactly). So it makes it slightly harder to get the A+, but it can still be done. 2. You can click on either yourself or the bike in your inventory and choose "bike around." You'll just do laps around the map and it'll raise your fun super fast, without the tediousness of manually clicking back and forth. You can also get a soccer ball and practice juggling, which fills your fun need super fast and raises your athletic skill. *Edit* Somehow I missed that you already did this. Oops. 3. If you download the Personal Objects mod by LittleMsSam, you can claim your mini fridge as your own. Put the food your roommates leave around in it and you'll always have leftovers. If you don't want to download the mod, just lock your door so only you and your roommate can access it. 4. If you want to get into robotics, you're going to need a lot of money. You'll use robotic parts and upgrade parts literally by the dozens. But you can make a lot of money by selling bots, but ONLY if you sell them from your inventory. You'll get pennies if you click on the bot and choose the "sell" option. Also, be prepared to get shocked. A lot. That dazed moodlet sucks, and if you get shocked again while you're dazed, you can die. So the robotics skill takes a lot of time to build up. Start on it now. You can tinker on the robotics bench (scrap whatever is on it) to give you free robotics parts, and it builds your skill without shocking you. Building the actual bots, though, will take a long time, because you'll have to stop for a few hours every time you get shocked. Servo is worth it, though. Just don't get it wet. Shower woo-hoo is a bad idea. And get an umbrella stand for when it rains. 5. Don't fear the loading screen. Embrace it. Love it. The library has the studying lot trait, which makes you finish homework noticeably faster. It also has a chess table that makes you focused (the best moodlet to have when you go to class, do homework, and do term papers/presentations). The big ugly building has free food, free computers, a TV, research machines, and robotics stations. I think it also has a chess table, but don't quote me on that. I honestly can't remember if it comes with one or if I added it to my own game. The bar and Ubrite commons also have their own advantages. This pack was made to encourage traveling, and the advantages gained by traveling to different lots offset the inconvenience of the loading screen. 6. Use some of the bathroom cookies or other baked goods left by your roommates to offer to the statue to join the secret society. Just make sure they're high quality. 7. Taking notes in class raises your grade the most, but also drains your fun faster. Use the phone to check your grades, and any classes you're doing well in, you can choose the actively listen option instead. It still raises your grade slightly, but isn't as much of a drain on your fun. Just keep monitoring your grades on the phone. 8. Guest lectures are only $40. It's the skill classes that are $250. You need guest lectures for your aspiration. There's one for each of the new careers, and they give varying moodlets. 9. Potions. Use potions if you have the satisfaction points to spare. Also investing in steel bladder (2,000 points) or whatever-the-hygiene-perk-is-called makes a surprising amount of difference. 10. The secret society is a mixed bag. You get some pretty powerful moodlets. Possible spoilers to follow: Whether those moodlets are positive or negative depends on whether or not you pay attention to the sprites. But they want you to do romantic, playful, or mischievous interactions, which is easy enough in my gameplay. Joking with roommates raises my social and fun needs, gives me the comedy skill, and I get bonus moodlets when I do it when the sprites tell me to. Win-win. Sometimes they show up at wildly inconvenient times, though, and when you don't entertain them, those moodlets suck. --end spoilers-- I love watching this LP! You seem so much more energized, like you're genuinely having fun and falling in love with the game all over again. It's freaking awesome to watch. I can't wait for more!

11th tip: Events don't happen randomly. A notification shows up if an event is starting at the lot you're currently in. Otherwise, no notification. You can find upcoming events in the Organizations tab. It lists all the events for every organization, with locations and times. That way you can plan which ones you want to go to. Creating events in your calendar helps you remember to go to a specific event when it starts.

The world is more UK based, however the gameplay is more American since, we have one class a week in uni, and then have a specific week for all of the exams and presentations. Plus we don't get as much "homework" we just have to prepare for next weeks lecture from the book and that's pretty much it. We don't have assessments during the term it's just more like testing our knowledge at the end and what we've learned.

Hi James, yes it's a loading screen for the commons room, but there's also research machines, computers and robotics machines upstairs, and you can attend classes and utilise everything else on campus except for your dorm. My sim spent a large portion of time in the commons room. I had a robotics elective and joined the robotics club. Robotics are pretty painful though as you need to make so many components to get anywhere.

So as soon as you notice a queue glitch (i.e. a blank space in the queue or an action that won't go away) RESET YOUR SIM!!! You wouldn't have had half as much trouble getting Bob to bike around like you wanted. The queue glitch makes sims buggier than you realize. (Also, have you tried the "bike around" interaction on the bike? I think you'll find that useful for increasing fun.)

Oh no is it buggy? I swore on my life I wouldn't buy another Sims anything after the bug dumpster fire of dine out. (Yeah my waiter standing staring into the corner the entire time) I just got it. I watched a lot of you tubers playing it before I got it

It’s so buggy!!! Half the time playing I feel like my sim is just standing around wasting time. It’s annoying and I considered redownloading mccc just so I can’t reset her every 5 minutes

Hadley Hysmith I really wish they’d fix some of those bugs. Dine Out is one of my favourite packs. In terms of DU, I haven’t played it myself but seeing James struggle with bugs is making me worried

@@leonewashere yeah. Your waiter zombie staring into a corner unresponsive and eat support "do you have any mods or cc?" (Never I don't want to crash my game) then some technical stuff ok erase a file and replace it with blah and I have no idea what that is and I shouldn't be having to do anything like that. Rumor (just rumor) is the judge career is buggy in University so I am going to stay clear of that or do a throw away game to see.

I never understood the need for a coffee machine. It does nothing and it takes forever. It gives you so little energy that by the time you're finished drinking your energy is all the way back to where it started or worse lol
