I read that if you put the water heater and electrical outlet in the shared space together they will power all the rooms rather than putting one in each room to be powered individually. This might save you time not having to repair them so often if that tip was actually true. Also lilsimsie also said her game was bugged and she wouldn’t get paid the rent either so hopefully that gets fixed before launch because that’s a huge bug..

As someone who once worked in the leasing office for a guy who rents out properties, that frustration you were feeling from having no money, tenants breaking everything, and then not paying you is 100% realistic. Let me tell you, I have HORROR stories. They had a tenant once who was breeding black widow spiders in the unit, among other infractions of the unhygienic variety. They basically had to take that unit down to the studs and get rid of the spiders themselves because local exterminators wouldn’t do it because of liability if an employee got bit. And of course the guy didn’t pay them a cent. Property management is a precarious balancing act between the good tenants who pay you and the spiderguys who cost you tens of thousands in damages. 😬

The problem usually isnt with landlords who have a couple places for rent, but rather with these massive landlords who are purposefully leaving apartments emty to drive up demand and therefore price, while neglecting the tennants, as well as safety and welfare rules and regulations

It's morelike communal living. Lots of dense cities have big buildings the you rent the room and share the kitchen, living room and sometimes there is a big communal bathroom. Looking forward to playing with all the expansions.

Eh it can be used for both which is why they went with calling them residential rentals instead of apartments or just communal living. Because it can be either/or with how the system is built.

The system is designed to be flexible, so you can build self contained apartments or comunal living like you described. James is pushing it a bit by using it to run a hotel, but he knows that's not what it's really designed for.

Currently running my Super Sim. Found out that if your skills are high enough or you completed enough university courses, your next diploma starts with 4 credits instead of the usual zero. She's now completing her seventh diploma, all prestige diplomas. One more from Britchester before switching university. Maxed out ALL visible skills. Left with the Baby foot, skating, ping-pong, juice pong and veterinarian skills to max out. Also have all the reward traits, with some 50000 satisfaction points available. Also, 45 perk points for the magic perks after getting them all. Just lock that door for everyone BUT the owner. At times, I even get infants waiting for my Sims on the curb when returning home from another lot...
