I would love to see you do a sketch of an extended sequoia! I think Toyota would do well offering a model to compete against the Chevy suburban, GMC Yukon XL and Ford Expedition MAX!
@davidgary2677Ай бұрын
They don't need to make an extended version if they would simply allow you to remove the third-row. They messed up and because of how they did the transmission, you can't remove the seats, only fold them down and they stick 16" above the floor. Then they give you a carpet-covered particle board "shelf" to put behind it and call it a feature! No cargo is such a big car. Can't fit a decent sized ice chest in this thing. Seriously, go to the Toyota website and see all the features and ask yourself why cargo space is not listed.

Exactly. Here in switzerland there are escalades, durangos, those massive dodge rams, all perfectly legal, yet no sequoias or lexus gx or kia tellurides….

It’s a well-designed and Well-equipped SUV. However, the American counterparts offers more interior space for the price. The 3rd row of the Sequoia sits above the battery of this hybrid SUV. Thus, having less headroom for adults in the 3rd row.

I definitely would’ve bought this and traded in my f150 raptor if it wasn’t the cargo space

We had a sequoia in 2007. The fact that they STILL don't have fold flat 3rd row seats and still force you to remove them is criminal. It was a massive flaw then and it is still a massive flaw. I got better fuel economy with the old V8 than they do with that BS "hybrid". I'm not against hybrids or electrification, but this one is a joke. I was leaning toward a Tahoe, and all the reviews I am seeing about the sequoia is just pushing me even further to the Tahoe. Shame.

I dont believe its awd - it's part time 4wd on certain specs. It runs RWD in 2H normally on-road and certain models have the option of part time 4wd. I could be wrong.

I don’t like the large towing mirrors. They are very distracting 😂 Also, I wish they have bench second seat option.
@MrMom950Ай бұрын
Yeah I don't know why they automatically think that just because you like high end models, you want captain chairs in the back... how about a high end model with 8 seats? Why do all these manufacturers think that just because you want nice things you want less seating as a requirement? Same thing with all the other brands too... Oh, you want that Heads up Display... you need to "upgrade" to triple plated leather seats with massage and take away the middle seat... THEN you can have your heads up display!

It looks cool but that's where the story ends, driving is rough, atrocious rear storage, I really wanted to get one at first but it's a hard pass.

Nailed it? They took away one of the most important things full size SUVs bring to the table... And that is cargo space. They completely obliterated the double stroller and groceries for families with young kids. Had they not taken away truck space for the battery I'd have pulled the trigger. Another issue is what is standard at the price point. I owned a 2005 sequoia for years before I sold it a few years ago, so I was looking at a toyota full size SUV, but will either wait or find another option. Only reason I don't go mini van is I take my family outdoors and snowboard quite often, and have used AWD/4x4 almost everytime, on mountain trails and big snow days.

Nope. Close but no cigar. Needed lift with TRD package and bigger tires 285 or 295/70r18. Ground clearance is lacking. Since they aren’t gonna have the full size Land Cruiser, they need to do a better job of Sequoia.
@MrMom950Ай бұрын
Wish you didnt need to get the absolutely ridiculously silly "techno camo" seats with the TRD Pro... that single ridiculous mandatory feature is what is preventing me from pulling the trigger on that thing. Just because I want a TRD package doesnt mean im some idiot hunter that wants to "hide" from the deer whilst sitting in my car... Fire the idiot who thought of making that mandatory feature
