What she said to him about what she felt he needed to hear… I almost cried. I feel if black men in mass were to hear that consistently we would self-correct sooner & faster. That is a verbal hug for the heart & mind.

I know a person who is on a healing journey when I see it because when she said she KNEW but changed it to FELT that her family wasn't going to be there for her, I knew she has been in therapy. P.S she doesn't want to be with him but to only be friends. He clearly has work to do, and she surpassed him, and those tears are a guilt release of losing her. You may not get her back, but you will find someone once you have fully healed. Good luck to them both.

"but now I feel like I got my friend". I'm misty eyed already and haven't even gotten halfway through the video. I'm pausing and typing as I go because I want to give my feels to this particular video in real time... So, after she spilled to him the things he needs to hear, I think in my heart that this lady may be his wife, but they had to part ways in order to work on themselves. A long lasting marriage should first be a good friendship. I wish them both healing and happiness!

This seems like it was a much needed convo to strengthen their friendship but from the outside looking in, they are probably most healthy as friends. Before he mentioned that she was always in survival mode, you could tell that from the very start of the convo. It’s in her energy, body language, and the way she speaks. He seems very warm and she seems tough. Hopefully this will heal them both for the better.

Thank you for sharing this with us. I appreciated listening to you both speak truths from your heart and your souls. If only we can be grown and mature enough to realize that there are lessons to be learned from our past relationships and wise enough and respectful enough to acknowledge each other the world would be a better place. This is growth right here and I thank you both for sharing your vulnerability with us to help us mature and get through whatever we are facing in this time. We are all here to learn something without making each other feel less valued than who we are, I hope that makes sense. Beautiful!!!!❤

First they are both gorgeous! Now that I got that out the way…….. I love their ability and comfortability with being honest to each other. If only all relationships could end in love, even after pain. I think they are a beautiful example of black excellence. I admire the respect they have for each other and how humbly they receive each other’s responses. I hope they have each other for life And in whatever capacity they desire. The And is a beautiful way For people to see the red string that connects us all. Although we are all unique, our experiences are only variations of a life lived And much better understood when you’re able to connect to other people through their experiences. By the way, I’m not getting paid to say that I purchased 7 decks of the cards, gifted 2 and live for moments I can pull a deck to connect with someone❤️

The questions asked are simple but deep at the same time. It really makes you think and if more couples would do the same, relationships would be so much better. My wife and I bought the card questions but for whatever reason, we haven't done them. I know our relationship would improve and we've been married over 30 years!! I recommended this to my kids as well.

I came here after watching the clips on tiktok, now i got a sense of what their relationship was like and what it is now. They are better off being just the way they are now as it makes them more free and vulnerable to each other, you look at the way they answer those questions and talk about them and you get a sense that they weren't that way together and it's sad that we do get to that place only after we split.......

I don't know what these two went through or what happened in their relationship so what I'm about to say may or may not be accurate. But it's so funny how we sometimes put up with b.s from friends and family, but the minute our significant other does a mistake or several mistakes, or has a hard time getting things right we tend to be quick and dimiss them. Again, I don't know these two from a can of paint, but I feel in my soul these two should have never broken up. We'll work through some of the weirdest things in our life, but when it comes to making a relationship work with someone who is going through their own battles. We walk away faster than wind blowing. Makes no sense.
