Gosh it has changed so much i was there 1978 for 2 years. Lived on small holding in Crown Town just outside Helson. Proper Cornwall, if you know what i mean. x Holywell Bay looks lovely never went. xx

I Remember going to landsend in 1976 age 15 yes that summer, wow,, didn't have to pay to park or to have my picture by the sign,, totally agree with you it's so commercial now, just geared up to extract money from u, have been once since 76 but probably won't go again. I’ll bet it didn’t cost £10 for a lovely walk on the beach at Holywell Bay. I was appalled to see how commercialised (and money -extracting !!) Land’s End is. £10 to stand in front of the Land’s End sign 😱😱😱 It’s not a rip-off .... it’s a reet extortionate rip-off !! They’re ‘avin a laff, ain’t they ? Another lovely little trip with Mr. & Mrs. S 👍👍

Lands End is becoming the worlds end. We went there a few years back and saw the cost of things and drove away, didn’t even park up. There are lots of hidden gems in Cornwall where your custom is greeted with a smile. However even last summer we found places that were willing to open (remember the pandemic?) had prices that were eye watering. You did right to avoid the rip-off “sign photo” charges 👍🏻 Trev

Hope you enjoyed trip it’s nice down here, only downfall is everywhere else is such a long trip. Been watching your nc500 trip we going September 2022 camping and couple nights in hotels and another 5 days in a Parkdean in Nairn to chill before the drive home

I went to Lands End in the 1960s and there were no attractions, they have spoilt it, as you commented, it's now just a money making attraction, shame it was better in the 60's and you didn't have to pay for parking.

Really nice video but so disappointing to see the commercialisation of Lands End. We went donkeys years ago and there was nowt there. Ah well, 21st century thinking eh? How was the site overall as we are thinking of going on some via the Out and About app. Looked a bit busy? Difficult to tell from the footage. Was the price comparable (or are these questions answered in the next video?) Anyways, the lager looked lovely and the days weather amazing. Morning Silvertops! The price was excellent value! I’ve popped some info in the vlog description. £10 per night cheaper and the option for only one night 👍🏻 The rally field was coming to an end as it was the penultimate night and lots had gone as the weather was due to change (watch for our Gorran Haven vlogs!) The main site was still busy. However, facilities were excellent, spotless and no queues! The dog walk was the biggest we’ve ever seen! The huge fields with long grass and paths criss crossing through it. The pooches loved it!

I remember us going to Lands End before that American company bought it. You could take your own photos at the roadsign. We went again after it had been developed and hated it. Totally ruined a lovely feature of the western edge of England. Typical tight Yorkshireman. Deep trouser pockets and short arms. I am the same as you. It's a rip off. Nice video on the beach though.
