She was frustrated and said she took the money, but the point she was trying to make was that even if they took the money and she was not able to go through it at the last moment and said NO, that should've been enough for the guy to stop.

Regarding that northeast Indian comment in the scene, northeast Indians have more mongoloid features, making them look more stereotypical asian than stereotypical brown, hence they often face racism in their own country. People call them Chinese, Nepali, chingchong etc. Northeast Indians are often viewed in bad light by people due to their looks and also because their cuisine is very different from rest of India (more like not much popular, hence people call it weird). Thus, Northeast Indians, despite being big contributors in music, sports and athletics are often sidecast in their own country. We as Indians need to work on this aspect.

Falak admited that they took the money (which they did Not ) because 1st she was frustrated and tired with their constantly trying to Slt shame them and raising questions to their character. 2ndly, She was pointing out that even if they took the money ( means even if a person is a " S worker" ) but later they decide to withdraw (which means obviously paying back the clients money) but the clients not taking the refusal, so does that mean people who are in this business don't have the right to say no ? But constitution gives everyone the equal rights, so by the law are they right or wrong even if society judges them as wrong? As in last monologue Amitabh says that "she said NO and no means no, and when a person says no you stop even if it's your wife or any S worker, No means no. "
@kapilavastuvasinАй бұрын
yeah. Falak 'cracked'. thats what her little scream before the admission was. but then got into a babble and got carried away. its not an anomaly, it happens in court. people are people, not every damn witness behaves in the way we expect to under the intense interrogations and 'no jury' rulings. I think a lot of reactors/watches misses this part of realism of the whole court drama.
@Desiforu10 ай бұрын
India has cancelled jury system after one case bcoz India is such diverse country the citizens can easily be biased based on religions caste ethnicity region so justice system works on Constitution, law and previous court verdicts. There is actually movie on last jury case it was highly murder controversial extra marital affair murder by navy officer and lover was of other community and jury had diverse religion members yet all decided differently based on their religious customs views on love affairs and marriage army etc rather than on law.

India doesn’t have a trial by Jury like America… we have a trial by Judge. Our Constitution is robust enough to not require a Jury, jury can be unpredictable and swayed by emotion. Judge sticks to the penal codes and constitution.
@vasudhasharma55329 ай бұрын
@@bankai786 actually no. The execution is the problem… not the system. Jury system can be corrupt as well. Corruption is something that runs high and low in Indian society. It’s not the fault of the system itself. Trial by judge works perfectly in multiple countries, better than trial by jury. America has to rely on trial by jury because its constitution is not robust.
@vasudhasharma55329 ай бұрын
@@bankai786 I agree regarding the corruption and need to bring that change in our country. But I’ve been to outside India, and have learnt that not everything is hunky dory there as well. Do you know US Supreme Court justices are partisan (left or right) because of how they are selected- hence so much conservatism since Trump that they took away the roe v wade 😪. Our selection system in comparison is less biased. While I for sure want to work on our short comings (and there are tons!!). But I wanna acknowledge what’s correct with our system and atleast keep that. Grass just looks greener on the other side.

@@vasudhasharma5532 it's good to know about each other thought process. And certainly, in today's world no matter wherever you are, It's very unlikely for an honest or simple human being to get odds (like equality, respect, and certainly not getting beaten or killed for no reason) in his/her favours. The world is too bizarre now, and from my perspective I'm just doing my time here. We talk about change but it's very hard to bring. Nowadays, obstacles are much bigger than the willpower. For recent, I followed up on Ecuador, how they killed a presidential candidate earlier and just now a mayor (young female). In Ecuador there is saying, if you got killed by mafia, then you were doing good for the people. Ecuador is just one extreme situation country we know, and others are certainty on their way. If we talk about ours, you have heard about that brazilian couple who got beaten up and wife got r##pd. Also there's a case of young Indian student, who was killed by a police officer and his partner mocked her death. I haven't seen a single govt. Official (who loves to being in limelight whole year) talk or react abt this, I can't expect them to do something about it. But as I say, I'm not a pessimist. It is just , I'm done with the fake hope of optimism and relying on the righteous things that are just written in books and haven't been implemented by majority of people.

They agreed on taking money out of helplessness because the whole time they denied but nobody really listened, so by agreeing they meant to say that even if they took money from them, does it give them rights to do anything without their consent. You guys seemed so confused. So

Two pointers from my end. 1. I always say that watching the movie "Pink" is incomplete and biased without watching "Section 375" immediately after it because it represents the other side of the story, which could be a possibility in a case too. It's a marvellous court room drama, which is more engaging than Pink in my opinion. 2. Such content-driven movies and not the family dramas or celebrity movies that you guys watched lately, should be watched in 3 parts.

The original ending had women getting sentenced on the basis of the evidence presented during the trial. The makers altered the climax weeks before release.

Hello. Great job guys, I watch these only for Ben. The girls obviously did not take money ,but Falak says they did as an act of defiance against all the slut-shaming. The law is one of the most progressive since ,legally consent can be withdrawn anytime by a sex worker too. Unfortunately ,patriarchal conditioning deems taking consent from a promiscuous woman unnecessary🤮🤮 (this crappy mindset is something like- if she had sex with X,Y she would not mind having sex with me too) Therefore, slut-shaming works as a tactic of reputation damage and weakening the credibility of their testimony.

Falak's admission isnt a moral message, Deepak happened to use it as an opportunity in the case's closing arguments is all there is to it. I think this subtlety of 'court reality' of a 'no jury trial' (which also is an option fyi in most werstern countries - a lotta criminal case DO have no jury trial, because it is actually a right of the defendant to choose and the common logic in legal world is 'if u r sure u r not guilty, go for judge trial, it will be a lot faster, quicker, neater if you can decisively 100% legally prove urself in front of judge and life goes on). In this case what happened, is Falak 'cracked'' under pressure. her little scream before she admitted to taking the money is what shows it. She cracked. Hence actually the judge disregarded her 'cracked' admission in his final reading of the verdict. When people get ruthlessly interrogatd in court and mental pressure applied by putting the witness in a state of extreme stress by revealing something extremely personal + embarassing in court ( which the prosecuting attorney did), people can crack. This is what happened. This is also why Meenal slapped Falak in rage and they both instantly cried and made up beautifully.

Guys, you need to stop talking this much. You miss important dialogues and scenes just because you discuss in between the reaction a lot. It's better to discuss for 5 mins after every 30-40 mins depending on the length of the movie instead of constantly talking between the scenes. Reacting to the scene and commenting on every dialogue is different.

Thankfully we don’t have a jury system which is the dumbest approach to justice I have ever seen. Imagine this guy on the left of our screen who is always super emotional and wanted to punch Amitabh Bachchan’s character in Piku because he was an old and annoying man, becoming a member of a jury. Imagine the case involves an older annoying but innocent man. This guy with his biases will almost certainly vote against the older innocent man and destroy his life. This is basically the jury system in a nutshell. Random super dumb civilians with all their biases can be chosen at random to decide the fate of an innocent person. Good grief that sounds terrifying.

KING OF CINEMA....AMITABH SIR❤🇮🇳
@harshichaudhary797510 ай бұрын
I am not agree with you at all. There are greater actors than him before like Dharmendra and Sanjeev Kumar. I think he is just overrated. Dharmendra is the one who helped him a lot during his career. And According to most of the Indian people Dharmendra is the king of cinema instead of Amitabh and SRK. I know that Amitabh has given more awards than him but the reason is there is so much corruption and discrimination between castes in bollywood. Dharmendra is jaat and Amitabh is brahmin, that's why he has never been that much appreciated as Amitabh which is unfair.
