To all those haven't got their license and planning to do so, remember remember remember Mandon's test tip: Call out everything that you're doing during the driving test so the tester cannot say you didn't check blind spot, didn't do this, didn't do that. I guarantee you 300% if you don't say, you will definitely get a few "Fail to check blind spot" even if you checked every single one.

@@sleepy_dobe For me, I didn't say out because I'm deaf and don't really talk much. I just really kiasu like checking mirrors, turning head to check blind spots and behind etc. Like really dramatic body language. Then I passed on the first driving test (manual car) and got the license.

Yah take it from someone who first time and got only 2 points (and this is fake 2 points, the examiner just didnt want to give perfect score). It's like piloting Gundam and doing systems checks. Must shout "Missile systems online! Activating missles!" or something. "Checking blind spot, turning right"

There are some good advice, but in real world the situation changes especially in the city compared to rural. For example @9:15 When you can see the rear wheel of the front car, you are leaving a huge gap of space. The advice I would give is to leave enough space between you and the car in front so that you could turn the car into another lane if needed. Then although at 10:01 is not bad to slow down and check for pedestrians before moving (especially if there are anyone running), but to come to a complete stop when the pedestrian is like 4-5 second away from the intersection is also not good. Driving safe is good, but driving too safe is a disruption to traffic and might cause an accident.

Having driven in different neighbouring countries before, I dare say Singaporeans in general are really a bad bunch of drivers. Many have no road sense. If you miss a turn, why can't you just go to the next exit instead of abruptly changing lanes? It is not as though the next exit is 5 or 10km away unlike bigger countries. Also there are a lot of road hoggers, don't you know that the rightmost lane is for overtaking? If you are not in a rush, keep towards the left. Also I didn't rush to take my driving license at 18 years old although my parents wanted me to. Instead I waited until I was almost 22 years old until I decided that I am ready to learn.

@19:18 the instructor is doing something that is considered a bad driving habit even though its taught by most instructors in driving school which is feeding the wheel is dangerous on bending roads since some turns are sharper and as you increase your feeding of the wheel it can cause a car to roll over.

[DP] At 00:09:43 commentary, most motorists aren't slowing down properly on the approach to signal lights, even in our home country (Philippines)! Any sudden change to signals (from green to yellow/amber then red) in a matter of 3-5 seconds could cause you to blow the red light in which you could be cited over for red light violation with corresponding penalties.

I just passed 2 weeks ago and I did exactly like Mandon haha but not to that degree lol Before changing lanes, I went "Gimme a sec, I'm just going to check the blindspots" before I change lanes hahaha Same for the circuit Tester did not react, much to my disappointment, but I passed my first try! And only after did he joke with me, "Are you interested n learning how to ride motorbike?" 😂😂😂

Actually this is not really accurate. You might have the license for 10 years but you might not have a car and do not drive daily. So it’s definitely not the same as someone who has a license for 10 years and also driving for 10 years. Since this is a driving skill test. Think it’s better if they differentiate whether they drive or have the license for the number of years.

Not supporting them, but just sharing my experience. I've rented their cars a few times, never got asked to pay for any damage cos I didn't damage any car, and most importantly, documented every existing damage on the cars before I started my booking, as well as at the end of my booking. Remember: before, and after.

@@sleepy_dobe neither did i but cause the next driver had a nicer camera, suddenly it became my fault and i paid 150 bucks for the repair and another 150 for the car not running for 2 days (i literally alr pointed out that there was scratches there_ but when i wanted to retrieve the pic from the website, it didnt exist anymore

im actually shocked how laid back the uncle was... or maybe singapore is easier on terms of driving... where i live our driving instructors are actual sheriffs for the state... first time i took my test i stopped for 5 seconds n said 1 thousand to 5 thousand n went.. failed that test for not stopping long enough even tho it was the alotted time... 2nd test i was suppose to change a lane when the instructor knowingly knew the car wasnt allow me in the lane so i waited to pass to change lane... failed that one... the 3rd time i passed accept my car smelled like marijuana cuz i smoked in it the night b4 LOL so i instantly failed anyways but let me finish... and no i didnt get arrested for it.. this was b4 my state actually legalized marijuana medically and recreationally took me 4 tries in total... 🤣🤣

These type of driving instructors the way they train scold people like they are very smart. If not for the going through the process, like we need to get the license we have to go through this stupid get-scolded training, i won't even want to sit in for the class. Driving is very easy, its a skill that will get better with practice. For safety reason to be a good and safe driver you need to understand road traffic and courtesy. By scolding people and giving people stress when they drive, they are misleading and twisting the whole idea of driving. I only drove when i was in the army, trained with a Fiat 3-tonner (back in the 90s) and drove the Unimorg in my unit. I can say it was an enjoyable experience with no one to raise the voice at me and the controls of the vehicle was user-friendly and simplified. I hope one day AI can replace such boorish trainers.

after seeing these, i feel more scared for motorcyclist. these so called "experienced drivers" always assume all is safe. I hate the comment particularly saying now i know parking lot no car, empty.. lol
