I have a friend who spent $300 per month, and he's a working adult at CBD area. $50 transport (As majority of the time WFH), Meals $70 ($3.50 nasi lemak for 20 working days) (Weekend meals eat at home. Dinner eat at home), personal hygiene stuffs $20-$30, $100 socializing with friends expenses, another $50 for emergency. I swear, he's a legend.

There's so much free stuff. I think it already defeats the purpose. They are living on an intern's allowance, but they are given free stuff coz they are in essence still an experienced employee of the company. If you're an intern, you're probably starting off not knowing a lot of people and will probably not be thrown a "bone". I think the next challenges should exclude free stuffs. Coz I wanna see them actually be smart with the money and not rely on free stuff from people.

i think everyone is missing the point that some of the contestants were trying to put across. the reason why john is relying on handouts is because he gambled away his money and since this seems to be a sponsored video, the message he is trying to show is that if you gamble away you money you will rely on your friends' kindness and next time you wont have friends anymore if you continue doing so

Sure, the video is sponsored, but there is no correlation about gambling and losing the money and having to live on an intern budget. The concept of the video itself is already a bad one from the get go. If the video is about having a restricted budget due to "gambling", then the video would've been acceptable. They can be street smart and get freebies from colleagues for all I care. It would've still been nice if they stuck in the budget to see how they can stretch that limited amount. But the title of the video is about living on an intern's budget. The gambling part was just a curved ball, and wasn't even highlighted that much. If it's a sponsored video of gambling, they could've had some sort of challenge that incorporates more gambling aspects sprinkled throughout the video. Overall, the video is a bad execution of the actual goal, plus integrating the actual sponsor.

Sad to say that this is the most disappointing challenge I have ever watched from TSL (I didn't even finish the video). In my opinion, the rules were too lenient so they end up just getting through this 72hrs challenge mostly from the help of people around them. Most interns don't have the privilege to do so every day with their lower wages so I don't know what is the actual purpose of this challenge.

defeats the purpose. everything is free, you have bf or family support to give you food and drinks. unfortunately some interns don't have parents cooking for you everyday or could afford to. so this video honestly just shows how privileged they are than to fully reflect what intern go through daily.

Right from the beginning, all three of them missed the point of the challenge. I didn't watch till the end (cos the way they went about it defeats the purpose), so I don't know if they passed the challenge but in terms of the spirit of the challenge, they definitely failed.
