Amazing job Carissa. The depth and character in all the fabric and leather is remarkable. I haven’t enjoyed watching leatherwork done like this since a year ago when I came upon Malcom Reynolds holster on ‘Foolfly’ KZbin playlist. My wife is a tailor, so I can appreciate the workmanship that goes into things like this. I was so stressed when you started sewing the leather, because I’ve been the husband who rapidly tries to settle the nerves of a tailor that broke the last needle after Joanne’s closing time

Melted bee's wax can harden leather right up when making a sheath. It can melt in direct sunlight but it stays in the leather's pores. Be careful to not get it to hot or it will cook the leather. It makes a very hard sheath.

Your cat was quite the comedian. Have a great day both of you and this is the way!

Thanks Bryan and Carissa, my costume took me 2 years to complete but you both are pros i’m just a rookie, i hit a lot of astroid fields during the journey figuring out what i wanted the Armor to look like, then building and painting plus massive weathering passes with ways i learned from Bryan in the workshop but Carissa it was your knowledge of fabrics that brought this project together. I took an existing Canada flag turning it into my shoulder cape, i took braided rope making Wookiee braids, no Wookiee’s were harmed during the process. Keep up the great work both of you.

Holy cow this is an incredible project. For not having leather skill prior to creating this, how did you go about visualizing what you wanted with confidence you could accomplish the vision?
@TheSmugglersRoom2 жыл бұрын
LoL, I just read your comment to carissa and she let out a nervous laugh. 🤣. The leather was super intimidating at first, but having a template that she created out of paper first was the key. She was able to cut the paper template and use that to get all the measurements and proportions correct. That really helped. Then once she started in was much like anything else we had never tried before, you kind of go for it!
@GCubedProductions2 жыл бұрын
