This was my thoughts as well. Chris was pretty incoherent with his explanation even though he lowkey acted like sweeny just wasn't "understanding" him properly. I think what he was trying to get at is that base 12 is more useful than base 10, which theoretically could be true, but on the other hand, changing the base number system that someone thinks in is much more difficult than simply changing the units of measurement. And like you said, imperial has no standard unit of measurement, multiples of 12 are used in some instances, but volume, for example is completely different.

When I built window frames for a Europe company normally we’d use metric but sometimes the contractor would send us specs in standard. I can’t even begin to tell you how annoying and stupid it was. When your tolerance is the width of a finger nail Millimeter is just a superior unit. If the tolerance is the width of a hair and you’re using thousandths of an inch it’s not so bad.

Okay, a few things about Dragon Age. The demon floating doesn't bother me at all. The demons all looking the same in the past games is even less sensible than all the turians, asari, salarians, etc having the same face in Mass Effect. Demons should vary massively. They're from a place that constantly changes, they're pressed into random shapes when they pass the veil and somehow they all look the same when they come into our world? That's kinda dumb. Also, Dragon Age has suffered since Origins. Qunari suddenly had horns, darkspawn looked emaciated, combat changed drastically, so to me it's not surprising that this Dragon Age looks very different again. It could use a more gritty look, though. The only things I really hate is Varric's dark hair and lack of chest hair, and the cyberpunk Tevinter city. That just doesn't fit at all. Other than that, I'm carefully optimistic for this. Oh, and that one guy really looks a little too much like Fortnite.

If you think TLOU2 should be told completely linearly you didn't understand the game. I don't say that to be rude, but the structure of that game directly feeds into the story. It wouldn't be the same story if it was linear, literally. That doesn't necessarily make it good, obviously. Just because something is supposed to be a certain way doesn't mean it's good, and I understand why people think it's jarring and don't enjoy it, but if you can look past that and meet the game where it's at, the structure makes a ton of sense and you'll definitely get more out of the narrative.

If I made a game about a streamer and half that game was just another game because some streamers steal content that isn't morally or narratively compelling. Or like those 3D movies from the early aughts, the intent was for the movie to show off the 3D effects despite people getting headaches from 3D and despite non-3D viewings having a worse experience to accomplish this. TLDR; Intent also doesn't make something good.
