The fact that they make a point to bring up St Veronica on the Via Delorosa, and verbally make a connection to the Veronica of the show...I feel so confident now that we'll see her again, in the Crucifixion arc of Season 6.🙏

Learning that this woman's touching the tzitzit of Yeshua's garment was a fufillmemt of prophesy (the Messiah rising with healing in His wings) was such a deep revelation for me. Jesus truly didn't miss anything! He truly meant "It is finished"

I always thought that she should have stayed there in town and become a friend of Edens. And then she could help the women with the ministry. She was right there.

Mary Magdalene and Tamar both approached her at the end of Clean part 2 both were really gentle and welcomed her to talk to them. I would LOVE if that meant that Veronica would become a disciple. She's already friends with Eden and all 4 of the women (five actually, with Ramah) have had such unique experiences. I feel like with Veronica's family throwing her out... I just really want the girl to be welcomed in. They could be like sisters. (And Mother Mary, Salome, and Zebedee could be like the older parent figures)

Jairus’ daughter would have been held in esteem being he was a ruler in the synagogue. Veronica on the other hand was an outcast, from society and family both. Jesus was leveling the playing field by calling Veronica daughter, both had equal value in His eyes. I love the inference of Jesus’s touch making her clean vs the other way around as in Jewish culture. Get used to different indeed.

I’m thinking that Veronica is the woman during the Passion who wiped Jesus’ face with the cloth - what a great way to introduce her!

Yes,why introduce this name if not?

I'm liking this commentary on the commentary! I've watched the Roundtable before, but somehow missed the deeper significance of Veronica & what she did & that we might see her again 😎👍

Jesus was fully aware of his Creator/human nature as well as that we are His sons and Daughters. He fully knew of Veronicas" total condition and her desire for healing, so when he called her "My Daughter", he told her it wasn't his clothing that healed her, but her Faith that she would be healed by the touching of his garment. It was her Faith that instantly triggered Jesus's Creator power of healing, when he felt virtue go out of him the instant she touched his garment.

I'd love if she shows up again before season 6. The end of Clean part 2 when Tamar and Mary Magdalene are sincerely kind to her and welcome her to talk with them about what she went through... it made me really want to see Veronica join the Disciples and become friends with Mary and Tamar. I think about all those three women have collectively gone through and I think of how they'd support each other like sisters. I would be so happy if The Chosen would do the part where Veronica wipes Jesus' face while He is carrying the cross to Golgotha, that part would be a moment that would come as a reminder of how Jesus inspires those who believe in Him. It's only a tradition story, but it moves me so much that someone as human as any of us felt so much gratitude for Jesus love that she tried to grant Him her own act of kindness in the only gesture she could manage.

Love that the women's stories are getting fleshed out more than they possibly could in Scripture! So many throwaway lines in Scripture - like that some women were financially supporting Jesus - that we can easily miss the deeper significance.

Catholic here. I've never heard of a connection made between the 2 women. Don't know why Dallas made that connection. See how quiet Father G is. This connection is pure The Chosen writer's supposition.

I wear the tzitzits. They are not specific in Scripture. People made a bunch of ritual traditions about them. All that's commanded in Scripture is that there's a blue thread in them.

This is one of the places in Scripture where the idea of relics comes from. Jesus works through tangible items, but it’s Faith in Jesus, not in the items themselves, where He works miracles.
@veronikavanquish7 ай бұрын
Well said! Could I assume then that this is where protestant faith misinterprets the idea of relics as 'worshipping false idols'? (not my belief- I'm Roman Catholic)

Her storyline, along with Eve's, gave me the cringing jeebies...and kept me away.
@Loulizabeth Жыл бұрын
So do you avoid reading those portions of Scripture where it mentions her story too. And the portions of the old Testament when it talks about women's ceremonial uncleanness as well. Thankfully Jesus Himself when He meet the woman didn't cringe away from her.
@tamararutland-mills9530 Жыл бұрын
You’re really stretching the Scriptures and their interpretations around to the point of heresy around this table. 👎 Dallas: if these are the fellas that you have advising you, it’s no wonder how/why you are starting to write large portions and dwell on them when they have nothing to do with Scripture. The Catholic priest is way off. Yikes!
