We MUST support people like Makwa to the best of our abilities. Financially (buying their music/going to their shows etc/ spiritually - mentioning them in our prayers). The music industry needs people like him. The world nje, needs people with such hearts. God didn't make a mistake by gifting him with such talent and he's using it (even though he's being exploited)...but man this guy is gonna pop. Watch!

Despite Makwa falling into things such as weed, Makwa's gran did a great job in raising a good human being, the guy has a good heart and most of the time good people get taken for granted by bad people. He is so passionate about music, the guy genuinely loves music with all his heart. With this kind of passion he will certainly last longer in the music industry.

Its difficult to receive someones pain when you focused on technicalities, though its necessary for the educative aspect of the show , empathy gents. i feel like every time Makwa tries to go in on how shrewd some people he has encountered your objectivity or correction on a technical basis comes across as lacking empathy.. above all Makwa is a legend that is going through pain. But overall a learning moment for all looking to enter the entertainment space....makwa's story that is.

You know I had to pause the podcast while reading your comment as I share the exact sentiment on how the gents lacked empathy and maturity with regards to Makwas utterances. You can do better on how you pose your questions gents especially when dealing with such a sensitive issue, it almost felt like he was being attacked and bombarded with questions. I hate making comparisons coz my intention is not to destroy or pose any malice, but even MacG came better and more matured during his interview with Emtee.
@lesibakhalo89413 жыл бұрын
@Thabang , a great point you make by bringing up the Mtee and MacG interview , though MacG style of podcasting is distinguished by banter, he was able to reach emtee as a person and hear him as opposed to bouncing technicalities back and forth , theres a clear disparity in the levels of interviewing maturity. What makes it worse is that Makwa has publicly came out that he suffers from depression and has even attempted suicide, touching on that issue is not enough. These guys wanted to jump on a hot topic, but were in no capacity to host Makwa in his state. I guess we can say theres a learning moment for all of us, including the podcast gents.
@thabang28323 жыл бұрын
@@lesibakhalo8941 hopefully with time the gents can get it right, coz we support their podcast and want to see them win, however they really need to work on their emotional intelligence and maturity as their job description goes beyond merely being articulate.

Mechanical Rights only exist once a song is complete and u start reproducing it.In this case producing/reproducing means making copies of original recording to different mediums such as CD,DVD,usb etc,so the moment u start coping,there is your mechanical. What Makwa is explaining there sounds like a copyright in publishing which is intellectual property right of musical composition and Lyrics as far as songs are concerned. The owner of the computer or keyboard is legally not entitled to anything in this case,since the right is based on creativity.
