I think the Kai 1 is better for most players. If you're a younger light and fast player without injuries that plays on clean courts, the speed is going to be better for you. Kai 1 gets better the more you play in it, comfort and lockdown is the best with the best impact protection, good traction on all courts (after break in)

I’m a guard have the Kai 1’s and they’re honestly amazing, consistent traction with a great squeak on hardwood, cushion feels great with nice compression and a smooth transition step and bounce is there for me too - great overall shoe 🔥

Kai 1 is an excellent shoe. Only knock for me is that it's a little on the heavy side but not too big a deal.
