As a 2014 fnaf fan who adores SB and has re-entered their fnaf hyperfixation when the game rereleased and still in that fixation, genuinely is fair to not be into the game. It was a huge change from the original games and had so many issues on launch that it was near unplayable at times. I'm just glad you gave the game a chance even if you didn't enjoy it!

This game was definitely the worst in the series quality wise, but there were also many things that caused this. The developers, prior to security breach, had only ever made VR games and one mobile platformer game, and except for Help Wanted they had never made a horror game either, which means they were treading completely new ground while having to reshape the gameplay loop of a series that has only once deviated from the "sit and survive" style gameplay. Then there's the delays and likely rewrites of the story and gameplay that caused it to finally be shipped half made and buggier than an anthill, which also messed with the story I'm sure. The developers have also basically confirmed that they bit off way more than they could chew, and I believe part of that was their lack of familiarity with making this style of game. And despite all these problems, it's still made itself a special place in the hearts of people who enjoy the game in spite of, or sometimes even because of, its flaws, and I think that's pretty neat.

Quick tip for the “Hide and Seek Master” achievement: jumping onto an elevated surface will cancel out the animatronic seeing you as long as they’re not too close. That way, you can see them and still get the achievement.

As terrible and broken as this game is, its wild to me that the voice acting is so good. Like, Kellen (the guy why voices Freddy, sun, and moon) really obviously put a lot of effort into his work and it makes me kind of sad that all it amounted to was this heaping pile of garbage.

To be fair, the security bot jumpscares aren't cheap. They're following paths and if you happen to walk into their light you get caught. They're one of the few things that AREN'T broken or unfair.

Their ranges seem inconsistent though, I've had times where they see me while I'm standing on a nearby counter they roll past, and other times where I can legitimately stand on the same counter for 10 minutes straight and be fine. Other than that though, yeah...

Not gonna lie, I understand most of the critics you have for the game. Most of the fandome agrees that the premise of the game sounded exciting but the execution was not great -to say the least-, specially at launch with all the glitches. (You should watch Markiplier's playthrough if you want to watch that experience; and it's very fun ahah.) And like you said, this game was clearly not meant for newcomers even though it was a PS exclusive at launch and one of the few games that were released outside of PC; the lore is very VERY confusing, even for people who've known this series for the last +10 years. I personally do think it is fun and wasn't as disappointed as many others; didn't have many glitches and didn't really got lost looking for the collectibles. I believe that when you're captured by a security bot it teleports the animatronics near you; maybe that's why you faced so many teleporters? And I think you should have played the ending at the basement. It adds a bit more story and a minigame. Hope you play the VR games!

I am surprised the DLC doesn't have any achievements. Ruin is honesty a fun game if you want to sit down and kill a few hours; focusing a lot more on being a horror game with FNAF elements. Plus also I would love to hear your thoughts on how they handle the glitchtrap stuff.

ya. before the update. the sun/moon daycar you kinda had to...guess work your way to the generator. they were not colorcoded as they are now. also the reason you had to go to the race way was becaues apparently,in one of the notes, Roxy has this odd need to try to "fight" the cars. also before the update there was ZERO which made it maddness. also im suprised the DLC didnt get played (oh. no cheevos...thats fair >.

Yo jazzy! You’ve done security breach, now you need to do the fnaf help wanted flat mode version and it’s Halloween dlc. The dlc especially is not as long. As the base game, but the game is a good way to introduce you to some of the characters and locations of the series. It is even the first appearance of vanny, even if she is part of an Easter egg.

oh yeah this game has been broken since it released. personally the glitches are what i enjoyed most because i loved all the ridiculously short speedruns but i don't think i've seen a single playthrough without some major game-breaking glitch. and im talking 3 hours into post-game BEFORE the added save and being flung out of bounds by simply getting into freddy. so yeah no worries about disliking it lol theres a reason im not playing it myself

Even watching AstralSpiff’s 600 percent of this game, I keep forgetting where all of bags are since I know almost all gift box location it’s just the bags it’s annoying because even with Roxy’s eye upgrade, you don’t see it at all. And the most annoying gift box to grab is the nightmare Marionett box from the endo’s I would say it took me 30 minutes alone just to get the gift box and the security badge.

Security breach is very much a outlier in the series. The main 4+pizza sim mostly have you in a office using door or other means to get the animatronics to go away. Aka security breach and fnaf world are very different then original fnaf gameplay

Basically I have 4 achievements left to get and they aren't that interesting except for Hide and Seek which I have no strategy for. Just go through, hiding only in those places that do not require any activation. Well, it was just so interesting to watch this video. 18:16 Well, screw it. I am a loyal fan of FNAF, but we all agree that FNAF Security Breach was the worst game in the series, Ruins does it a little better, but I just don't like it for some reason, also Vanessa is not the main protagonist in FNAF help wanted, she's the person you hear on the tapes in the game, you just play as a random guy. P.S. I'm not to well versed in explaining the lore, but Game Theory does a lot of retakes and new perspectives to understand the lore of FNAF, watch their video to understand the lore, it's a hour long so you can choose to watch the full theory or not

Excuse me being a bit late, great video! The game is shit, even for us fans- the reason there's loads of security bots around and the animatronics teleport is because the game had already been delayed so much, the devs couldn't implement the level of AI for the animatronics they initially wanted, to supplement that, they added loads of security bots to find you, so they could then teleport an animatronic to your location; the result is a mess of constantly being jumped by a swarm of boring bots and the main trio teleporting behind you ever time you're 'spotted' (the hidden, searching, spotted system is also explained wrong because as soon as you enter searching, an animatronic will have teleported to you, thus, you've been found anyway) The cameras are meant to be reminiscent of the previous games but they're ultimately useless outside the security room areas that are also not very impactful in any way, the map is horrendous, the area is too big and has so many empty areas with nothing but patrol bots in them- The weeping angel endos are arguably the best part of the game imo Long story short, some dude killed kids, kids souls got in the robots, soul infused robots made kid killer go into yellow bunny suit and the suit crushed him hooray- Eventually get to this game where kid killer turns out to not be dead (he was in the internet or smth and corrupted Vanessa while she play tested Help Wanted) and Vanny is trying to resuscitate him. But I wouldn't bother looking deeper than that, even having hung about for the past however many games, lore deep dives and video essays regarding the game, the story will never make sense, and it's really not worth sacrificing however many hours playing all the games, reading all the books (yep, you /have/ to read the books to learn vital lore pieces) and then watching someone's hours long deep dive explaining everything in a simplified, linear manner. Trust my autism brain that's been stuck on this game for years :')

You are lucky you waited so long to play this. The game was glitchy and buggy around launch to a stupid degree. Like genuinely nearly unplayable. Even after all the updates it's not a great game. Not understanding the story makes sense imo as a lot of the series lore is legit not something you can figure out through normal playing without a lot of investigation and looking things up outside of them. It's a lot of putting together tiny little clues about things and trying to connect a bunch of tiny little data points together to make something sensible. Honestly the fact that Vanny and Vannessa are the same person is something I kind of find odd that I see not many figuring it out for some reason. Especially considering they barely changed her name.
