I have a custom chopper that was a softail but I wanted a hardtail,I like a slammed rear fender so I just bolted the swing arm to the frame eventually when I have the money going to put a real hardtail on it.

Currently working on a '69 Honda CB750 and was thinking about turning it into a hardtail but the streets (and highways) of my country aren't in their best shape so I was not sure if permanently turning it was gonna be an good idea on the long run. but you guys have inspired me on making a bolt on rigid tail. Thanks so much!

2" stretch kit would be nice. Anyway best of both worlds hardtail or swingarm any time.

Tip: if it's an early swingarm frame, don't cut it up, they're worth gold now

great idea...but if it was me after putting in the bolts I'd put one tack weld on the bottom of the bolt (to hide the tack) just so I know for a fact that it's not coming out! lol

Ad a headline on the years it works on. If it does work on a xlch I doubt it will would it work with stock wheel hub. Its pretty cool for the new day sporty you can always put the original parts back on again.

Where do you get the kit? I am trying to build my son his dream bike, he will retire from the Marines in two years and after all the combat he has seen I would love for him to hop on his scoot and forget about it all and clear his head! Think you in advance for info you can give

I've seen way too many snapped hardened bolts in my days to trust that... unfortunately. Id rather it be welded, because if the weld fails atleast the frame will still hold together. We're already risking it riding. And for those of use who ride to ride, and not for show on a weekend, this may be a death sentence... look nice, but im goooooood.
