Death’s Poker is a dark horse easy mode. As soon as you get Torrent, you can hitch a ride down to dragon burnt ruins, warp to Selia Crystal, sneak out, run through Aeonia to the Death Rite Bird, and cheese it off the near by cliff without too much trouble. From there, somber weapons are easy enough to rush and get a weapon to +7 or +8. Weapon art absolutely melts almost anything if you can pull it off, even against frost immune enemies.

If you sprint towards Astel during it's meteor attack it'll miss you like 90% of the time. I've done that fight like a few dozen times and have only been hit by the meteors like 3 times

As someone who did a frostbite play through, I can confidently say that frostbite is ridiculously fun. I am now a certified Cryomaniac. It was part of my main play through also, it was so good. I used the Dragonscale blade in my right, and rivers of blood in my left. Ice lightning is actually just insane, and bloodflame is very good as well.

I love chilling mist. I'm playing NG+ with chilling mist on my main sword, and fire damage on my off hand. Combine that with Fire's Deadly Sin, and you can do pretty ridiculous damage. Also, there's a weird interaction between fire's deadly sin and the chilling mist weapon buff, where your fire aura also causes frost build-up.

When the game first came out, I ran dual wield fully upgraded Frost Estoc and Frozen Needle. That combo carried me through the game. The Poise damage with 2 rapiers is insane on bosses. I would stun-lock most bosses, not to mention the massive burst from the frost procs. Throw in a mimic and it was game over.

Death’s Poker is a ridiculous weapon if you invest in INT. It can tear through health bars and I found it particularly useful using GhostFlame Ignition against larger sized bosses with big hit boxes. It’s also worth using against Godskin Duo as they often stand in place for good periods allowing an indulgence of GhostFlame Ignition. They sometimes walk into it. Go to town.

I started my run woth Samurai and dual weilded the first katana, one with bleed and the other with a little bleed and a lot of frost. This build carried me all the way through till i got the Dark Moon Greatsword to which i chamged immediately. Have not changed weapons since. The frostbite added onto the slash charged attack with the projectile and the 20% increase in damage taken for enemies that get frostbitten meant i was killing all and any enemies no matter what immunity they had. My first run and i didn't optimize anything but damn was it fun.

you can also dodge astels meteorite by running to his side in a very big arc i usually go left but i think to the right works just aswell, just run straight to the side and turn towads him slowly, if you do it right you end up outside the zone where the meteorites land and can get pretty close to him before his attack is done

For anyone struggle with the Death Rite Bird in Caelid, remembers: “Most of the boss in Elden Ring is a big smelly cheese”. Yes, it is a maidenless behaviour, but those goddamn bird is so annoying. Anyway, just run past him, head to the cliff with a branch sticking out (where you can easily see Radahn arena below), lure him to go up to the branch, jump down and duck below the branch so that you will below him. In this state, maybe only his fire attack will reach you, but as long as you pay notice to your health, you should live. But at some point, he gonna try to fly up and do a dive attack, which ironically cause him to fly off the map. Those thing do not know how to use their wings. As far as I know, it is the safest way to fight him underlevel, and the Death Poker is one hell of a broken weapon to destroy boss. Dont remember the KZbinr who made this, but he is very good at breaking the game.

I'm actually doing fun run with all of those Ice magic attacks. The thing with Ice Hatchet is the fact it doesn't have actual* magic scaling. It's fixed cold damage and can only increase by upgrading the weapon.

All you need for this run is the death poker from the death bird in calid. The easiest way I’ve found to fight the death bird is to stay on your horse and stay right under him and just keep hitting.

the nagakiba has bleed buildup as well so you didnt actually beaten the draconic tree sentinel with only frostbite but it does not really matter. im doing a bow only run. 12:45 you can see the frost proc and then the next hit caused bleed. bleed does more procent damage than frost but frost lowers the targets defences

I use mostly frostbite sorceries and you have to have a particular play style to make them fun, but adulas moon blade is just amazing, so use that, it’s like a better version of carian greatsword, also make sure you have a fire weapon along with your ice weapon, it doesn’t matter what it is, as long as it deals fire damage, cause that cancels out the frost debuff, so it can act more like bleed, if you pair frost with bleed, your gonna have a good time
