The reason it looks so slow is because it is electronically limited to 299 on the ECU. The fact it can get there in 4th or 5th just shows how much more it has in the tank

Yeah, I love SpeedKing and have been a long time subscriber....but this video is silly. No one is lying. That ECU needs a flash and it'll keep up with that V4 and S1K easy. I flashed my MT10 and gained 20hp and stopped being limited to 135

Most of the other bikes especially the S1000 are for sure ECU flashed and got a new Mapping and exhaust fitted for them, whilst the CBR is completely stock. Ofc it cant take on the H2 thats obvious but give them the same prerequisite and you will see how the Honda really performs.

Brentunning was just only able to de-restrict the blade ecu recently, there's a video from 650ib where he talks how badly retricted that bike comes from factory, after a flash that blade puts down the same power as the beemer only downside is a super tall gearing

That is correct and I'm pretty sure that the cbr/cbr's in this upload is using a locked ecu and the fact he doesn't know what's done to the all the other bike's ( unlocked ecu's are available for all the other bikes in video ) make this an apple to oranges comparison.

The thing about all the motorcycle vs motorcycle races - skill and rider weight are huge factors .... not to mention the fireblade isn’t a drag racing built bike, you gotta do track times with the same rider to get a real result- is this a USA fireblade with restricted power ? Is that Ducati still have the same gearing? Rider weight? Mode of each ? Etc, etc, etc

Cbr's gearing is tall, very tall. something was off about that run. In 4th it's geared to run at 306 km/h, so, something was up with that "gps". Unless it had tire slip it would run at 306km/h. Either the GPS wasn't calibrated or it wasn't a good GPS really or the rider messed with the sprockets. You can't defy the math. If the gears are meant for that speed and there's no slipping involved, it's irrefutable. Its factory set redline is at 14.5k and this bike was obviously modded to exceed that. It's geared to run at 360 km/h at 14.5k rpms in 6th. Obviously, with 214HP at the crank, it isn't powerful enough to push the revs that high but it has the headroom for it.

@@sarunassurvila7857 like I mentioned, the bike is geared to run over 340 km/h at redline in 6th so I wouldn't be surprised. And no, you don't need 240 hp at the wheel for that kind of speed. You need still air, proper tucking and about 210 hp at the wheel. MotoGP machines have around 240hp at the wheel and more and if you gear them tall enough they can hit 380 km

You should watch some race of this cbr1000rrr race with the s1000rr,r1m and even the hp4 so you can see the stock cbr can beat all of them incuding the r1m. So the cbr in some country like usa it cant affort to reach 299km/h in 4th gear because the ecu in there can be only 197 or 198hp but some country we dont change any hp on it so it could reach the 299/h in 4th

The cbr 1000rrr sp is a restricted us 165 hp model and after 4th gear it will physically go no faster until the Ecu has been unlocked. The other bikes it is racing are flashed and unlocked. There are videos on KZbin that show an unlocked fireblade easily passing 320 kph. You need to do better research!!!.

The simple fact is it's not that Honda can't do it, they just won't do it. Ever since the blackbird Honda has actively worked towards becoming a safe, reliable and a less than crazy auto marker. Which is why hardcore people find Honda boring. Gone are the days when Honda used to make hornets... The new CBR is painfully ridiculously restricted, when unleashed it can certainly hold its own. However, it still has Honda's DNA so don't expect it to become a Kawasaki.

You know you have to flash the honda RRR to get past the limiter.. HP jumps up about 20 hp also.. So you should do videos with all bikes being flashed.. And FYI all speedos' can be off as long as it registers MORE than the speed and never under by LAW. Most factory bikes are up 10% off of max..
