I honestly think he does 2 videos, 1st when he finds the garbage and looks in it and if it has nothing but trash, he then does a 2nd video where he takes things he own from his childhood like games then put them into the bag. The cable that you didn't know of is for pokemon games. Earlier pokemon games (from gba) didn't really connect to the internet, same thing with pokemon trading, there was no internet to link each console, so if you are your buddy had the same pokemon game you could tether them together and trade/battle pokemon.

Better check the cartridges if it has a battery inside. Test them if they have a game save. Batteries lose energy after a long time and need to be replaced. Same with the GBC games with batteries.
