Donna Oliver , if you claim to be a Christian and don’t read the Bible, you’re not a Christian. If you were baptized by submersion and became a child of God you would read the Bible and study it. Scripture clearly outlines the role of Man and women . Everything else is encouraged by the devil.

This brought me to tears. I’ve never heard of imposter syndrome until now and she spoke to the core of me of why I felt inferior in meetings and amongst my colleagues. Being a woman of color I feel this often, esp at work. I grew up on the peripheral and trying to be out of the way. Now as a grown woman, at meetings Looking around and trying to pretend to be just as comfortable as everyone else, I often feel out of place and want to be quiet. Wow, just wow. Thank you Ms.Obama for reminding to appreciate my history and background and I have just as much to give as those around me. God bless you

I've watched this video a ridiculous amount of times ✔...We all know what Michelle just said is crippling for some and empowering for others whether we choose to admit it or not. I too have sat at a few tables where I'm sure people present felt I didn't belong. Still, I sat my little black butt there as if I was the ONLY ONE who DID belong there. I fully engaged in the conversation at hand no doubt causing some to wonder if THEY were imposters or if THEY belonged at that table instead! The bold confidence I have in myself stems from my refusal to feel any less than anyone else! I'm convinced showing up as your "authentic self" is nothing short of greatness in real time. Self-confidence is a secret weapon I will carry with me until the day I die. Michelle delivered that message like a true champion!!! 🎯

Got offered the job within one month of being a temp and essentially became permanent after being there for 3 mos due to a delay in hiring. But nevertheless, the ppl that didn't think I would last or make it, left not long after I made it to a permanent position. I still prove to do the best job I can because I honestly love my work.

@@katierojas8066 Yet, Michelle Robinson did not. She was speaking as a woman whose culture has been reduced to the past 400 years. That message is global and it comes from everyone who sees you as an impostor when in fact, it isn't true. In homes where children are not supported by family of any make-up; if that message is not conveyed, it becomes a maniacal wrench of the soul. So many people go through decades of life wondering why didn't I love myself more.

Thank you Michelle Obama! I needed to hear this. I’m having a bad case of imposter syndrome right and needed to make sense of it.
