Yet another session of me trying to keep hosts alive in Elden Ring as a yellow phantom.
It is truly Herculean task to play co-op but half of a success is to have a good build that can support your teammates.

If you ever feel bad after a bunch of co-opers defeated you, remember that the boss will mostly likely kill them lateral lol

So true but dying to a boss won’t sting as much as dying to an invader. Human nature. Recently got hate mail from a host taunting me that even though he died, he died from rolling backwards off the ledge and so I failed to kill him. He said I may have won the rune arc but not the satisfaction of personally killing him and he added “Suck it.” My reaction was simply to laugh when I read his rant.

Especially on bosses that are either too small to reliably get hit or too mobile to reliably get hit by it. I have completely dropped it for Blackflame Ritual since it's just so much better in every situation

6:55 Two words of advice for Radahn's divine tower: NEVER. JUMP. The platforms are perfectly spaced where a single roll towards them will guarantee you land square on it. Jumping will almost always lead to this unless you have good fall control and can correct your mid-air momentum in less than half a second before you actually start falling. I figured that out after a lot of struggle with what I thought was precise platforming in this area.

Very similar to the descent to the Three Fingers. There's actually a way to roll down without any trouble, once you know the route, you can grab the items on your way down, and break the floor, without resorting to the riposte cheese. Jumping makes you VERY likely to overshoot the landing, but rolling makes it much easier.

Steel you can use Golden great arrows to apply the golden vow effect on the host from afar and also use acid spraymist to lower the boss's physical damage by 15% for 1 minute

For anyone else watching this video and reads this comment, I cannot express how much help Golden Vow, Blessing of the Erdtree, and Protection of the Erdtree provides for this kind of build, they are party-wide buffs that increase the durability of hosts and (less importantly) fellow phantoms. And soon, we will have the new Minor Erdtree incantation, which will provide healing in an area similar to Warming Stones except it will be single sided and not heal enemies, so you can put that down somewhere you want the host to be during a boss fight. Oh yeah, you can also use the Shield AoW "Holy Ground" to provide 17 health a second and 20% Negation to anyone standing in the circle it makes on the floor, and it also doesn't heal enemies. These will all stack together because Warming Stones, Frenzyflame Stones, and Holy Ground are all tagged as "Unique" buffs meaning they can freely stack with any other buff, and I'm assuming Minor Erdtree will also be Unique because it would be dumb if it counted as a Regen spell and thus overwrites Blessing of the Erdtree.

splitting faith and int grants you more incant scaling with the golden order seal which = more damage. now using erdtree seal grants more healing, so i recommend reallocating 20~ int and 40-45 faith so you can maximize damage and healing in their own areas. you will have to switch from seal to seal but overall it makes it more worth it

Shabriri's Woe / Duelist Set aggro. Strength gugs, giant crusher or beastman's cleaver - guard boost. Eruption, Bloodflame, pool of blood. Guard Counter. Holy Ground. Ironjar Aromatic. Become Tank. Assert PvE dominance.

lol, he must’ve spoke to us co-opers, we all have faith builds with stacked buffs to keep hosts alive. You shoulda just gone pure pyro with the flask fire damage tear and dual giantsflame seals, radagon icon, and both incant damage rings.

It's kinda funny watching this co-op gameplay because it's chaotic and people would just cheesing-rushing everything out. In that Sol Castle for instance, I solo parry all of the enemies even Commander Niall and his 2 bodyguards, to death. Good thinking to play as backup support healing and buffing, let host have their "fun". Doing perfume support would be great too I reckon.

@@swagdaddy8298 Haha I died a lot there even solo. Always getting knocked out because of the stupid bubbles. Btw in that scenario I've prepare Rejection incantation as a backup tool to repel lol (dead by falling). Beast Roar AoW also works great too!

Use pest threads for giant bosses. For all bosses with giant healthbars like in ng+7, blackflame fireball is the most FP efficient spell. Even better if you can free throw.

i find blashpemous build best with some support incantations for coop, you wont waste flasks before boss fight as you can heal from killing, and you can do good damage and hold aggro, overall best for survival given the less amounts of flasks which is always issue on every other build

i like rock sling for bigger bosses. it was very dependable against ng+ mohg for a 70 faith build.

Question. If I have every stat at 99 Which items and buffs should i wear and use to MAXIMIZE frenzy dmg ? And the same for blackflame/death incantations/sorceries. I can't find a specific guide for these, so thought I'd ask here . Thanks for anyone who's is gonna answer I'm aware seals at high lvl scale differently and for most part, the best one is GoldenOrder seal But I wanted a specific items listing for the above I mentioed.

and they say leveling vigor is for pvp my tarnishes in Marika, ya'll need more vigor in PVE as well, ya'll just glasses with no cannons gg steel, hope to see you do more coop content every once in a while here's a suggestion, maybe play as a host and summon a horde of coopers to human-wave tactic some field bosses to death while you keep invaders occupied

One rule of COOP, protect the host, they are literally trying to die to everything, you need to stand between them and danger, and go first on any dangerous terrain so they see how its done. This will still not be enough in half of the sessions as most players are bad at the game, bring aoe buffs, heals and do your best

Coop at meta is going to be more difficult. Early level coop is slightly easier because hosts have yet to allocate many stats. The bosses are still difficult for them, but you can compensate by doing high dps builds that kill the boss before the host dies. High stance damage is also valuable. Stance break the boss 3 times, and those are 3 periods of rest for the host. But I'm going to say coop may not be for you. Too much stress.
