There is no doubt , that Kirk have made some of the greatest contemporary gospel songs , in gospel history. However, let not get it twisted when it comes to him representing the faith. I have seen him on interviews and red carpet events , where he always compromising his faith and always making excuses for living contrary to the word of God but when he is on the gospel channel ,then he want to preach and up hold the Word. We judge things every single day of our lives but when it comes to people representing the faith, then we love to use the bible scripture don't judge. The Bible also teaches that " you shall know a tree, by the fruit it bare " I did not judge Kirk , i only pointed out , what i have heard and observed from his own mouth. If somebody ask you, are you attracted to men ? You would say yes or no ! you are not going to sit around saying , well i don't know , maybe or maybe not , i have to think about it for awhile. Kirk has a habit of deviating from answering questions that will offend Satanic Hollywood. I told you that, i heard him on many radio interviews and some of those interviews were over 30 minutes. A person can let you know where they stand and what they believe in 5 minutes. I listen to Kirk for 30 minutes and all i get is , i am a compromiser and i don't want to offend santanic Hollywood. I am not taking anything away from his massive and gigantic talent , i do love the brother.

I hesitated reading comments here bc I KNEW it'd be a bunch of so-called Christians dragging KF. Sure enough... that's at least 75% of what's here. I love most of dude's music. It has ministered to me in my darkest hour & my highest moments. Some songs that contain lyrics of praise set to classic r&b music: GENIUS and truly inspired. His sample of Patrice Rushen's "Haven't You Heard" has been turned up on my car radio & had folks ask me what it was because MY praise, expression, vibrations were so high listening to it that it infected them! God is NO RESPECTOR OF PERSON and His use of KF is quite intentional, evident & special/specific... for such a time as this. AND it has not come back void. His energy is not "stately", so-called dignified or contrived. In my 51 years on the planet & churched, I see the same cadence, rocking, gestures (cupping ones hand around the ear/ face & such), ranting, dramatics in churches all over America & the West Indies... the SAME everywhere as if they all went to the same school for it. Most is theatrics. What's the difference btw that and what folks criticize KF for here, except his is original, dynamic, different? And it has been emulated these 25+ years by Ty Tribbett and every other young gospel artist. His influence and legacy is indisputable. Yet y'all wanna bash the brutha... consistently & since Day 1. Most of you are simply haters... soul killers, dream crushers who wanna stifle & choke every ounce of authenticity out a vessel just because it makes you uncomfortable...bc it doesn't "conform". Ever thought of this... it surely isn't conforming bc it is transforming! Lastly, my cousin in Jacksonville FL met little KF (as she called him. Lol) on the street before his concert there. She couldn't believe it and was MOST enthralled bc he stopped and took time, despite being delayed for his concert, to minister to someone on the street. Sincere, contrite, bible-based, loving, compassionate MINISTRY. My cuzz watched in amazement and was convicted herself just bystanding. If affected her deeply & she testified/testifies thru this experience often. There were no cameras. The person he was ministering to was not a fan. There was nothing contrived or fake about that experience. So... for all y'all who feel the need to degrade & send KF to hell by proclamation, take a beat & consider your motivation. Is it convention? Is it tradition? Is it your discomfort with his radical praise... "Imagine Me", "Smile", "Lean On Me"... no less than 20 songs spring to mind when I consider songs KF penned that lifted me, convicted me. How DARE any of you (us) question or judge his gift. He is using it for kingdom building and it has never not once come back void. Where is YOUR witness? Tend to that & leave Kirk's business btw him & the Lord!
