Steve Kincaid I've gone back and forth between this routine and Andres's routine for the last two months, and the biggest thing to take away is that Andres spoke the language, through his drill, that the judges know best. His routine had the RIGHT degree of military flavor and consistency that made it extremely easy for the judges to score high. WE as drillers know combinations, judges know the military flavor and are known at the World Drill Championships for rewarding that. It all came down to who made it more apparent and consistent, and Andres did that. Mind you, this is without me seeing a single scoresheet from this year, so I don't know how much he got 5th by.

Andres had more points for military flavor, after all it is a military competition. There's a difference between drilling for the crowd and drilling based off what's on the scoresheet.
