Rockstars die all the time, but Riley's death actually makes me so mad. They made arguably one of the best metal albums of the modern times, his charisma and stage presence was insane. And for him to die so young when Power Trip was just getting some good amount of attention. Rest In Peace Riley, it's a helluva show wherever you are now.

I saw Power Trip open for Exodus and Obituary in 2017 and was floored by them. I loved them from that very moment and I knew they were going places. After their set, I went to the merch stand where they were hanging out. I bought a CD and a patch (would've bought more if I had more cash.) I shook all of their hands and said they were incredible. Then I said to Riley, "You guys are going to be selling out stadiums, and I'm gonna be there." Riley shook my hand and said, "We'll see you there." Then I saw them open for High on Fire in 2019 and everyone I spoke to was there for Power Trip, not Matt Pike and company. It filled my heart to see them rising in popularity. Got the shit kicked out of my nose which wasn't fun lol Rest in peace to one of the best frontmen and humble performers I've ever seen.

The guy above you is referring to the pitch standard, in which all notes are based around A4 = 440 Hz (A4 is the 5th fret of the high e string on a guitar in E standard tuning). About those moongels on the snare: Glenn Fricker from SMG let out a trick from Nashville to eliminate snare ring without those things. All you have to do is detune the three nearest tuners by 3-5 half turns or just enough to ripple the skin. It’s totally free and works exactly as advertised. No more t-shirts on the skin or any other bs to buy. It’s like firgin magic

Came here to watch after the news. Clearly he loved what he did, and he brought me so much joy every time I listened to their records or saw them live. RIP Riley.

I've always wanted to grow up in the 80s or 90s as a teen. Born in '95 and I live for the old school! Heathen, Attacker, Randy,Manilla Road, Jaguar, Nasty Savage, Cirith Ungol, Exorcist, Hallows Eve, Sepultura, Rigor Mortis, Re-Animator, Mercyful Fate, Sacred Reich, Overkill, Vio-lence, Dayglo Abortions... List keeps on going

It was fun brother! I definitely feel blessed to have experienced that era. Seeing Slayer, Possessed, Megadeth, Overkill, Voi Vod, Celtic Frost, Dark Angel, Dr Know, DRI and countless punk shows in the 80s was really special. Lots of great bands today, but that era was particularly unique.

I met a guy yesterday who was friends with Riley Gale. I was only familiar with “Crossbreaker” on liquid metal. Thank you James Walton for turning me on to Power Trip and Riley Gale. What a beast. The American Max Cavalera in my opinion. R.I.P.

@@Airfarts_ yea because Max and Sepultura have been recording since the mid 80s, if Riley and Power Trip had the opportunity to be around for nearly 40s in the industry they would have written a lot more songs. Riley wasn't even born yet when Sepultura released their first album

God damn, how did I miss these guys?! I’m almost 50 now and this is as good as anything I’ve heard since the 80’s. S.O.D. + D.R.I. with a sprinkle of Kerry Kings whammy. Riley was definitely a special front man, but I hope they can find someone worthy of filling his chucks and carry on. This is really really good. The sound quality of this living room is making me wonder why anyone would even go to a studio. Just plain fucking awesome.
