I saw Power Trip open for Exodus and Obituary in 2017 and was floored by them. I loved them from that very moment and I knew they were going places. After their set, I went to the merch stand where they were hanging out. I bought a CD and a patch (would've bought more if I had more cash.) I shook all of their hands and said they were incredible. Then I said to Riley, "You guys are going to be selling out stadiums, and I'm gonna be there." Riley shook my hand and said, "We'll see you there." Then I saw them open for High on Fire in 2019 and everyone I spoke to was there for Power Trip, not Matt Pike and company. It filled my heart to see them rising in popularity. Got the shit kicked out of my nose which wasn't fun lol Rest in peace to one of the best frontmen and humble performers I've ever seen.

@@jasonnolen707 they're in E. The guy above you is referring to the pitch standard, in which all notes are based around A4 = 440 Hz (A4 is the 5th fret of the high e string on a guitar in E standard tuning). Some hipsters insist on basing all of those same intervals around A4 = 432 Hz. I'll note that the vast majority of metal bands are using the A440 pitch standard, even when they tune down to something like D or using an extended range instrument like a 7 string guitar tuned to B.

God damn, how did I miss these guys?! I’m almost 50 now and this is as good as anything I’ve heard since the 80’s. S.O.D. + D.R.I. with a sprinkle of Kerry Kings whammy. Riley was definitely a special front man, but I hope they can find someone worthy of filling his chucks and carry on. This is really really good. The sound quality of this living room is making me wonder why anyone would even go to a studio. Just plain fucking awesome.
