I still got hair but it's getting thin in the front, so last year I got a couple Halo sweat bands and those work quite well for me. I get a ridiculously funny indent from the silicon strip on my forehead after riding tho.

First off, I just want to say that this video was super fun to watch! Your energy is so much fun! I might attempt to match it in my future videos! 🤣 Also, I think you're right. The hate for ebikes is still present but it's calmed down a LOT. I'm the kind of person that would've been an early adopter if I could've afforded it but I was stuck on an entry level 2011 XC hardtail for a few years before I was able to save up for a Siskiu T7. My progression skyrocketed after that. See my recent KZbin short for a quick comparison! I've rented eMTBs for my Bentonville trips and I absolutely can't wait to buy one!

I got these old guys near me doing 5 and 6 laps like it aint no thing. I'm not gonna lie, I'm pretty jealous of the amount of trails they are getting in. These guys can grind trails, and i kinda want in that club.

Sweat has eaten a part of coating on lenses so I'm leaving vaseline where it's at. Maybe sweat would work to remove anodizing off parts supposed to be shiny. It's nice our bodies can produce something not only needed but also useful.

I have a question that I can only ask a cross discipline rider like yourself without them thinking I'm trolling. Why are BMXs so heavy compared to a DJ bike? I'm mainly thinking about race BMXs here, I can kind of understand that street/freestyle BMXs take a shed load of abuse and need to be over built, add the weight of pegs etc... but according to Google (and at least one BMX KZbinr) a typical race BMX weighs over 9kg! My DJ bike weighs about 11kg and if I put a rigid fork and TPU tubes on it I could get it to the same weight but with bigger wheels/tyres and the frame which you'd have thought would add significant weight?

I stripped my Levo down and built it back up with burly parts including coil shock and a Smashpot coil converted Fox 36 which works well in cold winter rides. I don't ride it as much as my other bikes either. Your trails and riding look legit coming from an average North Shore rider. To be honest the Whistler park doesn't do it for me. I much prefer natural old school tech to machine groomed flow trails. Go Oilers!

I do all my riding on my EMTB. There are no bike parks or trails near me, but my area has a lot of hills.. I had stopped riding my normal bike all togehter because 90% of my time on it was spend on hating the climbs and most of them were on normal streets because I never made it to the more fun areas.

Man I love that people don't care anymore. I stopped biking years ago (and I have no idea why, honestly), then developed a heart condition that kept me from picking it back up, so I grabbed an ebike during the bike craze of 2020, and it was super liberating, but people hadn't accepted them yet, so nearly every time I went out (not even on trails, just around on roads through town), I'd get people yelling "cheater" at me and just giving looks, so I locked the bike up and didn't go back out for another 4 years. Now I'm back out again, and no one says a word, they just wave as I pass like I'm any other cyclist. Radical!

Pretty much the 'e mountain bike' thing was a fad for the wider crowd, but i'm glad the technology got attention (and hopefully investment) for continued improvement since it's a value add especially for getting people into biking that want to have just that little bit of help up, say, that ONE gigantic hill on their daily route or to keep up with their friends who are perhaps more fit than they are.

Haven't watched this yet, obviously, but I have to say I agree with the premise. Everyone who needed an e-bike (and with the possible exception of the elderly) got one, and now is strong enough to ride a regular bike. I'm in this camp. I did basically an entire enduro for fun at Fort Ord in Monterey this weekend (prepping for Sea Otter) on my 140/125 travel regular bike, when I intend to do the actual race on my 160/150 e-bike. Obviously I jest, but only in part.

FWIW, thanks for not doing the clickbait titles. I've started unsubscribing from those. I get that people depend on these channels to make money. If you have to use clickbait to get people to come to your channel, then you probably not keeping them. E-Bikes? The only thing I have to say is I wish more people understood that there's a difference between e-bikes and e-mopeds. I have nothing bad to say about e-bikes, in fact one of my fondest memories about one is watching an out of shape husband being able to keep up with his athletic wife because he was on an e-bike. They were having a blast. Keep the e-mopeds off the trails, please.

I'm still quietly interested; biggest factor in my not owning an e-bike at the moment is that I don't live on the first floor and don't have a garage. I will not (cannot?) be hauling 60lbs and $4000 of car-replacement or E-duro up the stairs or storing it unsecured out in the weather, so I have had a convenient excuse to watch the market for a while and maybe catch the reflected wave of content when something is legit cheap and light enough to generate clickbait titles. Ride1Up's gravel roadster might be the ticket if I can slap enough rack on there.

I accepted ebikes and categorized them as boring, what is more boring is ebike media content, since everyone and its mom bought a mountain bike during the pandemic ebike is the only bs left the marketing decided you "need to have", cuz they're so much profitable. 🎉 They're dorks and old people mountain bikes to me, perfect in that role 😂

EBike? More like WeeBike. WizzBike. Amirite? Piss. I mean piss bi....cuz i think...well you...I mean...but...you know...yeah. Ah, I'm just stoked people are out rippin'. The more people we get loving this gas-less two wheeled craziness the more trails we'll get and the more outdoor space our communities will set aside for its citizens. Side note but maybe not just a side note: You'd be the perfect person for an ambitious small or midsize bike brand to sponsor. Positive attitude about bikes. Rides bikes 'cuz bikes are cool and fun. Exudes that fun so infectiously that others can't help but succumb to it (I'm even considering running!). Rather capable in a number of disciplines (even if you're not the 150th person today throwing rad whips on A-Line). People like to see folks they can relate to doing the sorts of things they can relate to doing. Relatable people are the people who effectively market products to the middle of the consumers bell curve. Don't believe me? Watch ANY prescription drug commercial. Those companies spend hundreds of millions on market research and their research says "don't say it with experts, say it with relatable folks." Sure, I can watch Yoann Barelli fucking launch himself down a rock slab to gap to slab to 2-inch-tall catch berm. Great rider. Cool channel. But it's SO crazy that I can't relate. I'm never going to buy a Devinci Chainsaw. What WOULD I buy? A Forbidden Druid or Raw Jibb if I were feelin' frisky in my somewhat flat-terrained world. A Revel Ranger, a Transition Spur, or a Rocky Mountain Element if I were gearing up for XC races or flat-and-fast rips. Those are all brands who - from my view - could use an ambassador like yourself to reach a different market. It's a market of people who love riding good bikes and are not "buy one from a brand and within a year sell it off quickly to roulette over to some other brand" sorts of folks but rather the sorts of folks who find a bike they love and support that brand longer term with continued reinvestment. If bike companies really wanted to secure some reliable marketshare to overcome a rough time in the industry and create sustainable, long-term, higher-value customer relationships; they'd be begging for your help and your legs being tossed over a couple of their bikes. That is all. Side note over. Love the channel.
This old POS just crushed my fastest trail times.
