LYRICS: Boris! Meet your maker! Ah, I’ll tell you later It seems this scene has us careening down an elevator Must have been dreaming to think we'd make a clean escape, I- Doubt one machine here could make it past a regulator Swear we never had this many levels, where’s the excavator? What’s so scary ‘bot a library and a record player? Thought I’d find the angel in a basement more dilapidated This is kinda tasteful, Alice tell me who’s your decorator? I never make a lady wait, I guess you’d say that I’m a player Angel wants a date and I would really hate to aggravate her Boris, don’t you worry, I would never let her separate us Hold it, where'd you go? Damn, I guess I'd better go and save him Alice thinks that hacking up my pal is gonna medicate her Fallacy! The treatment that this gal would need is an eraser Rap against an animator? Alice, get back on your paper Rhyming on the multiplane, my lyrics work on several layers If you thought that demons were your problem right now Well the angel’s on the stage so pipe down If there are secrets that you want to find out Hop on the ink machine and ride those pipes down So you're on the path of the starving artist But at the heart, well the art is heartless. Ever seen a masterpiece get discarded? Then start and depart for the art of darkness Out of the deep dark depths below Three ne'er-do-wells will avenge their souls With a spanner and a wrench and a thirst to quench Heigh-ho, it’s off to work we go Heave-ho! Fisher’s coming, crawling out the sea foam Giving you the Willies as I'm stepping off my steamboat Left here to the gods and beheaded by a rod I’ve some deadly black spots for the clod who left us below You'll wish you headed for the bread line and never ever meddled- With a pencil lead and bred lines. Monkey with a wrench might Thunk you in the head, Henry can you see the headlines? Animator dead by an enemy he designed! There once was an Angel who swallowed a spider It wriggled inside her and out came the Striker Who’d have thought your silly little villain for the children Would be killing for your heroine, so let her win or die first If you thought that demons were your problem right now Well the angel’s on the stage so pipe down If there are secrets that you want to find out Hop on the ink machine and ride those pipes down So you're on the path of the starving artist But at the heart, well the art is heartless. Ever seen a masterpiece get discarded? Then start and depart for the art of darkness There's no need to be scared now It's all the fun of the fairground And I would say I'm on fair grounds To take a little revenge now Everybody's heard of Bertram Piedmont Because my work pertains a certain frisson A hurtling freefall - disturbing demons Are out of season so must you keep on? Are you caught in a spin? Wurlitzer shame that your organs and limbs Will be lost in the ink, well it’s awfully grim Did you want to be him? Waltzer better man than you’ve ever been It’s a downward spiral, time you felt - a little hell up in the Helter-skelter No help or shelter - board the ride Don’t you know you’ve got to be this tall to DIE So sing along to the bouncing ball Wave your flags and renounce these halls You may have been sacked from this pantomime But a pal of mine wants you recalled So march along to the count of 4 Astound at the scoundrel crowd you’ve drawn Left stranded and damned to this mangled form To abandon us here was an act of war It’s laughable to think you’ll bring back the norm We’ve ink, but no malpractice forms ‘But Henry! You never gave a crap before?’ ‘Til we trapped you down ‘neath the factory floor Clap along to the rapturous score Three rounds down and back for more To find the keys in chapter four Remind me, where’ve you heard that before? If you thought that demons were your problem right now Well the angel’s on the stage so pipe down If there are secrets that you want to find out Hop on the ink machine and ride those pipes down So you're on the path of the starving artist But at the heart, well the art is heartless. Ever seen a masterpiece get discarded? Then start and depart for the art of darkness Well I dropped in from the top and now I've got to block the Monsters popping off of Nosferatu's rostrum Preposterous that after this my Oscars will be posthumous I lived for my work but I died to stop them Stationery should be stationary, shouldn’t talk back. I need a shrink, I’m on the brink, the ink has fought back Thought that the apocalypse was supposed to live on horseback? Screw that, deliverance was hidden in the Rorschach

BATIM was like 5 years ago. I'm revisiting nearly every fandom that made my childhood. Kirby, DDLC, Pokemon, Undertale, Sonic and of course Bendy. The music from each fan base has left me completely stunned with nostalgia and its completely epic. Bendy impacted my life so much, I became obsessed with horror. Animation references I've caught: - "Rhyming on the multiplane. My lyrics work on several layers." Pretty self-explanatory, especially w/ the visuals. The multiplane camera was used in the early days of traditional animation. - "Heigh ho! Off to work we go!" The dwarves from Disney's Snow White - "Giving you the willies as I'm stepping of my steamboat." Disney's Steamboat Willy short. - "Wurlitzer a shame that your organs & limbs" Not 100% but I think this is a reference to Rudolph Wurlitzer Company, which imported & manufactured musical instruments such as pianos & organs. And particularly Wurlitzer jukeboxes were iconic during the 1920's and the decades after, some including light-up displays featuring rudimentary animation. - "WALTzer a better man than you've ever been." Walt Disney - "So sing a long to the bouncing ball." The Fleischer's "Ko-Ko Song Car-Tunes" created the now iconic bouncing ball animation convention and pioneered animation synced w/ audio in America. It could also be a double reference, as the bouncing ball exercise is a staple of animation, in teaching the principles of animation.

"rhyming on the multiplane/my lyrics work on several layers" sghjk i see what you did there stupes
@Anastas17865 жыл бұрын
@InkyStory The device on screen is a multiplane camera, specifically the kind developed by Walt Disney studios in the mid-to-late 1930s. There's a video right here on KZbin, "Walt Disney Introduces the Multiplane Camera". _He_ can probably explain it better than I can, but I'll try if you don't want to go looking. All traditional animation is made by painting all the moving parts of a scene, the characters and their body parts, for instance, on clear sheets of celluloid, layering the correct sheets on top of the motionless background to form the correct image, and then taking a picture. Do it over and over again; sooner or later you'll have a finished film. Using the multiplane and other, generally very similar tools, animators basically animate _the background_ too, splitting it up into its own layers beneath the characters and other animated objects. This is usually done to imitate the sort of things you'd see if you were actually on a regular movie set behind a camera: panning across the scene, with things closer to you seeming to move faster than things further away (what they call "parallax"); zooming in and out; even spinning _around_ the "actors". Watch that part of the video again a couple times and you can probably start to understand the principle. We start with a shot of the smashed elevator car, then seem to slide backwards into the library. If we pretend the scene was actually shot on a Disney-style multiplane, we'd probably start with the planes cranked up close to the camera so it can look through the library layers to the elevator car layer. Then, as we take pictures, we move each plane down lower, further from the camera, and maybe also dim the light on the elevator plane a little, to create the illusion of depth. If you're interested, there's a scene in _Snow White_ where the Queen drinks her disguise potion and the room starts spinning. That was shot on a multiplane, probably just like the one shown here, and was accomplished by moving the background and foreground planes _sideways_ in opposite directions.

It was a lot of fun slowly getting everything together so if you want to find everythin yourself don’t click > 0:04 Tinkerbell reference 0:06 At the beginning, it says “Art of Animation” but after the film reels it’s replaced with “Darkness” 0:10 Right at the beginning, this Joey Drew sequence is a reference to “The Wonderful World of Disney”, right down to the shelf arrangement, desk, and photos. 0:15 Bendy on a tricycle on one of the shelves in the background, reference to jigsaw (?) 0:34 “If I wanted to be taken for a ride, I’d go downstairs and visit Bert-“ Bertram Piedmont is the operator of Bendy’s carnival. 1:12 Alice’s movement is really similar to early time cartoons (loopy limbs, “silly” exaggerated movement) 1:27 “Rhyming on the multiplane”, it then pans to an animation tool called the Multiplane camera which was made by Walt Disney. The following words “my lyrics work on several layers” are VERY literal as well lol (considering how every time you watch, there’s something new to point out.) 1:38 I wanted to point out that all the drawings change from Alice to Boris. The show mirror is also shattered, including the one she’s holding. 1:49 The beat on this part of the song is similar to the 3 dwarves mine ride in Disneyland 1:52 “Three ne’er do-wells will avenge their souls” refers to the butcher gang in Bendy. 1:55 “With a spanner and a wrench and a thirst to quench” In which the members of the Butcher come out in that exact order 1:57 “Heigh ho, it’s off to work we go” is a reference to a song in Walt Disney’s first color film (and first color film in all history.) Snow White and the seven dwarfs. 2:03 “Giving you the willies as I’m stepping off my steamboat” is a direct reference to Steamboat Willie, the first cartoon ever published by Walt Disney. 2:08 The line “I’ve some deadly black spots” refers to Treasure Island, where pirates would give papers marked with black spots to those they wanted dead. 2:31 The projection machines themselves are ink monsters 2:34 You can see Bendy’s shadow on the projection screens. 2:44 A set piece above Alice is cracked similarly to her halo. 2:52 Boris and Bendy are part of the game at the top 2:54 The balls being thrown are similar to the ones in Pixar’s first films 3:06 “A hurtling free fall” refers to one of the fairground rides 3:13 We’re going for a bit of a double punch here with the line “Wurlitzer shame that your organs and limbs” Wurlitzer was a company that designed organs and pianos, Wurlitzer organs were mainly used in fairs. 3:19 “WALTzer better man than you’ve ever been” Walt is reference to Walt Disney, and the waltzer itself referring to the ride that Bertram is controlling. 3:21 Going for another double punch here, a Helter Skelter is a ride where you go up to a tall building and ride down a big swirly slide, or, as the lyrics say, “a downward spiral” 3:32 Is a similar cart-ride to Spooky’s jumpscare mansion 3:32 “So sing along to the bouncing ball” refers to old-timey cartoons that would have bouncing balls go along with the lyrics they were singing 3:36 Cardboard Boris is beheaded by an axe 💀 3:39 “But a pal of mine wants you recalled” I don’t know if this was intentional or not, but Palomino pencils were used by Walt Disney and Chuck Jones. 3:45 “Astound at the scoundrel crowd you’ve drawn” Both figuratively (drawn attention) and literally (drawn on paper) 4:03 This might be a bit of a stretch, but the eyes in the background remind me of the eyes in the forest in Snow White, where she’s in a panicked frenzy (but we learn that the forest isn’t scary at all and it was all in her head) 4:07 “To find the keys in chapter four” refers to Stupendium’s first Bendy song. 4:18 Slenderman pictures in the back 4:23 Shakespeare reference 4:28 Alice is the Mona Lisa 4:35 “Monsters popping off of Nosferatu’s rostrum” Nosferatu is, in short, the devil. The monsters are popping off the devil’s stage. 4:48 “Thought that the apocalypse was supposed to be on horseback” Is in reference to the four horsemen of the apocalypse who will bring about the end of the world 4:49 A reel on the chair is labeled “The End” 4:51 Bendy’s shadow behind the throne 4:51 “Deliverance was hidden in the Rorschach” The Rorschach is the inkblot test. Freedom is hidden in the inkblots. There’s also the line “That’s all folks!” which is at the end of Looney Tunes 4:58 Tinkerbell reference finishes off the song If there anything I missed please tell me!!!
