They (The Jedi), basically don't want for the fact of They and their order actually being saved and made victorious in that of life and death war/battle for Supremacy by a Sith apprentice/warrior and at that by one so weak and cowardly, as well, for that matter; ...I mean probably and most likely that, their Jedi egos and pride couldn't not bear or cope with that fact, ...and that's when they decided to expunge, to (internationally and/or voluntarily) leave out or to, for the lack of better word, to censor The Republic History Archives; ...I mean is like Emperor Palpatine/Darth Sidious has said, even though they don't like to admit to it and won't ever admit to it, most likely, because they have such a distorted sense of appreciation and aspiration and expectation for themselves because of their self-righteous attitude and belief that they are better and even incorruptible compared to every one else including other force wielders such as The Dark Side of The Force Wielders as/like The Sith are; ...again is like Emperor Palpatine said (and that to their faces, too or as well) about how they are and that in particular to Master Yoda('s face), ...that they're so blinded by their prideful and arrogance filled stance and attitude that even when they've lost the battle and for that matter even the war with The Sith at the end and/or as per the end of how the events of/and/or the final stages or scenes of "The Revenge of The Sith" culminated, unfolded and how they were perpetrated and precipitated by the end of the events presented in "The Revenge of The Sith" (movie) and ultimately and finally (for that time being, at least, that is) being defeated by The Sith of "The Rule of Two" formula as it was conceived, forseen and/or predicted by The Legendary Sith Darth Bane the creator and/or progenitor of "The Rule of Two" of [the modern/new Republic Era, that was as such, in the organisationional form or style for a State as a Republic or in the form of a Republic, up until Palpatine took the seat of The Supreme Chancellor of The (Galactic) Republic, that is, of course] The/This (New) Order of The Sith that was introduced, initiated, formed and/or founded by The Great and Powerful Dark Lord of The Sith, Darth Bane, Himself .

Tulak Hord's armor was literally the inspiration of Vader's armor, with obvious differences. And Tulak Hord was one that the Jedi feared not only because of his ability to kill them by the thousands, but because his efforts brought the numbers of the Jedi so low that they could be defeated in the future and have limped on for centuries. Great video TSW.

That’s badass. Also, Starkiller’s Dark Lord armor is almost close to Tulak Hord’s armor… Which makes me wonder Palpatine used Tulak Hord’s design to symbolize a “Chosen One” for Palpatine to be the dominant destruction of the Jedi for the Revenge of the Sith, and especially the Sith’s reign to galactic power and dominance.

I very much doubt that the cover up had anything whatsoever to do with the amount of Jedi killed by a single Dark Lord, and everything to do with the single Dark Lord himself, or more precisely, just what made him so powerful. That information would inevitably end up in the hands of the Sith and it is far more plausible that the Jedi were terrified of another Dark Lord rising of such power and magnitude.

Tbf, it makes sense for the Jedi to hide information about the Sith because that’ll mean that if someone learned about this type of teachings of the Sith, it’ll be difficult for the Jedi to stop it again and find a way or else they’ll end up loosing most of their Jedis and admit defeat. With Luke learning much about the Dark Side in Dark Empire to have full knowledge about the Force and many abilities that can be used, I feel like Luke will want to make sure that someone doesn’t fall for Tulak Hord’s advice and just leave it alone since it’ll lead to bad luck for the New Jedi Order. Although, this is just amazing. Keep up the good work

I wasn't aware and thank you so very much!! It absolutely makes sense that the Jedi would hide this knowledge. One because it would completely undermine their strength as defenders of the peace. The Sith have always been born & reborn among the ranks of the Jedi.

I believe the Jedi Order's decision to erase Tulak Cord from the archives wasn't done out not only out of great fear but also for great shame. Assuming if Jedi still lived at the epilogue of those two battles who survived the hundred year darkness, it definitely would've struck a cord to their decision of sparing the twelve exiles. This also may have been a measure to prevent a following that could've triggered a third great schism that would've been the bloodiest conflict in galactic history.

So, we know that, in his free time, Palpatine would often use his seclusion to partake in marathon farseeing sessions, and that his ability to divine the most likely future of that moment, was particularly accurate. Oth beings, like Darth Tenebrous, were often able to do such future-casting even without the Force, and there were others, like Kreia, who seemed to make this magical ability one of their focal abilities, but was there a reason more Sith didn't use this power? Was it pride, and hubris? Did they just not like what they often saw? When it was often such a crucial moment; the apprentice killing their master, and most masters also wanted to at least live as long as possible, and set their monumental, long-ranging schemes in motion, why didn't more of them delve into that ability all the more?

There. Is. No. Such. Thing. As. A. Dark. Jedi. Lucas has explicitly said this, and has been repeated by Filoni. You are either a Jedi, or you are not. You could be a “fallen Jedi”. The problem with a “dark Jedi is the implication that a Jedi could be trained as a dark Jedi. If that were to happen, that would mean they are a member of another order, or “unaligned.”

Did I know about this previously? No, but the story of "the Jedi get their butts comprehensively kicked, and then bury the evidence after the Sith warlord gets inevitably betrayed" has been their MO for ten thousand years, so this particular maniac's story isn't especially surprising. Personally, I'm more interested in _how_ the Jedi managed to scrub [nearly] all records of the whole incident, since the conflict involved millions of conventional troops fed into conflicts across huge stretches of territory. Since the incident is basically a huge gap in the records, that's a LOT of records to purge and witnesses to silence. Did the Jedi enact a Stalinist purge against the returning Republic troops or something?
