@alsimmonshellspawn6021 That was not Revan at his peak. Revan at his peak is facing five or six Jedi on his ship with every expectation of winning. Peak Revan holds the ritual of the thought bomb and is the basis for the direction of Bane's focus during training. Revan by KOTOR would have been giving Exar Kun a more than even run for his money. While I think he would win, I would be skeptical of calling it a sure thing. Nor am I at all certain that Galen Marek could take Exar Kun, after all, Marka Ragnos, who knows his potential Sith Lords, appointed Exar Kun as the senior Lord as opposed to Ulic Qel-Droma.

@alsimmonshellspawn6021 All of which speaks to Exar Kun's potential but not his reality. Exar Kun was a very dangerous Sith Lord, even long after death, and I deny it not. However, he never reached the heights he could as he was too impatient. Revan took time and approached with greater caution and wisdom, I think he should have killed Malak and taken a new apprentice when challenged, but even wise men have blind spots. Revan would have struggled in a duel primarily as Exar Kun mastered the double-bladed lightsaber, which was such a rare feat as to make him a credible threat to battle masters. However, Revan mastered more Sith secrets than did Exar Kun, and knew of yet more, which also laid the groundwork for Darth Zannah's training, but that was because he had given himself more time to prepare.

At 17 it’s impressive this character can get some hits in on a post ROTS Palpatine something Grandmaster and Council Members like Yoda and Mace Windu can pull off it leaves you to wonder how powerful he could’ve got with age he would definitely ballin with the high rollers such as post NJO Grandmaster Luke Skywalker, Kyp Durron, Saba Sebatyne, Darth Caedus/Jacen Solo, Darth Krayt, Darius Vol, Sarasu Taalon, Emperor Palpatine/Darth Sidious Reborn from Dark Empire at his peak, Vitiate/Valkorion and so on these are all characters non deity immortal beings in Lore that have a powerful raw connection to the Force demonstrated in their story narrative and feats and I believe had Galen Marek lived on he would easily without a question be up there.

I feel like Suited Darth Vader only loses to Galen based on 2 facts. Firstly, Galen has a crazy powerful version of Force lightning thatv he can imbue into his saber. Secondly, and most importantly, Palpatine had Vader's suit specifically constructed to be vulnerable to force lightning to make him easier to control. That said, other characters that could best Starkiller would be Revan, Darth Sion, and Jedi Dooku.

Exar Kun, because he arguably the best lightsaber duelist to have ever lived. He is also adaptable enough to maybe work around the power difference in the force. Though it would a close call. Darth Nihlus, he feeds on the force itself. Galen would try to brute force a win like always and end up feeding into him directly. He would end up as nice snack for him. Mace Windu, his fighting style was built entirely around redirecting your aggression back at you. Plus his shatter point ability would help him see any openings to end it quickly. Though it would also be a close call.

I would think he would be just over Palpatine and just under GM Luke. I think Lucas said Palpatine was an 8 or 9 so that would put Starkiller at either 8.5 or 9.5, if he survived and gained experience, and GM luke at 10 or higher.

I think revan reborn makes the list. all lore suggests that he has either equal or more potential than starkiller. He has the skills and power to keep starkiller at bay while he uses his cunning strategic mind to think of a way to beat him. He also has far more battle experience and of eveyone he ever fought it took vitiate to beat him. As much as I hate the swtor story for revan, it took several powerhouses from both the sith and the jedi to kill only half of revan. definitely an extremely challenging fight, but I think revan takes the win.

I find it hilarious that Galen, who was trained by Vader, who defeated The Emperor, was horrified by Yoda! Then you proceeded to compare Yoda to Optimus Prime. I still think the Gandalf analogy is better but for actual combat I can definitely see Optimus in there. If you are playing as Starkiller or Galen Merck you are playing the Legends version of star wars, and the game universe. When it comes to the top 10 best lightsaber users T Shaak Ti is the 6th best user proficiency of lightsaber dueling it think(I think duelist) She sparred with Anakin in his training. Mace windu and Cin Drallic is relative in skill yet Mace has a lead, First to 6 is Yoda, Mace Windu, Anakin skywalker ,Cin Drallic, (A Jedi I don't know) then Shaak Ti. Mace Windu, Cin Drallic and Anakin are interchangeable. 13:09 Vader's armor is Durasteel mostly(which is more durable and dense than common alloys including steel and is resistant to damage and corrosions, vibroblades, vibrorelated tools, and protects against lightsabers hits)

one thing some people often i would say don't consider when it comes to the force unleashed series is its caused all characters to get a buff given even some characters who are actually fairly weak in almost other media are actually depicted as being many times stronger then they are in other books, games, comics etc so the setting itself is given a boost not just starkiller and a few other characters you fight for example shaak ti and her apprentice. for example tulok instead of just pulling down capital ships to destroy them or the like he could perhaps use force crush on them like crushing a tin can and possibly also just larger ships as well or satele didn't just force push malgus into a larger stone cliff/mountain but caused the entire mountain to just completely collapse or even explode and malgus in turn lifts the entire mountain off of himself or similar display of the FU buff in other eras as for my 3 other then the above two soa especially prime soa given took 16 powerful sith from the tor era to defeat him and msot of them were at least similar to power as malgus when he was already in a near death state and theoretically he may have been involved in the destruction of the celestials and their civilization given he is the oldest and strongest rakata we know of and i think outright stated to be the strongest rakata ever which would be a case of a character above the mortis trio individually adas who is confirmed to be above prime soa and given the few we know of who some limited instruction from his holocron which includes very powerful individuals like freedon nadd and by extension exar kun hard to decide for a 3rd given so many but marka ragnos partly cause he is very likely more powerful then naga sadow who himself would probably beat galen without much trouble especially clone galen as well given how insanely powerful he was during his prime

I played the games and I read the novels a very long time ago and I could be miss remembering but to me Starkiller never felt like really challenged Palpatine. The potential sure, he had it, but he had just started as a Jedi. Holding back the emperor's lightining those few moments at the end are described in the novel as oneness with the force and his absolute peak of power by a large margin and yet it was holding the emperor back for a moment. It also always felt to me like Vader may have been wanting to keep Galen alive in case he could one day help him take down the emperor (but that's sonething at this point we'll never know). Also Galen was very aware Vader was weak to lightning and he tried to abuse that like crazy. In my eyes as a fighter Galen was never really on their level, however in my eyes Galen won because in legends he was one of the sparks that started the rebellion.

Exar kun and Revan I believe, were incredibly powerful in the Force and also were unparalleled lightsaber wielders in their lifetime. They could take Starkiller. Also, Mace Windu was THE master of Vaapad style. And he proved this when he basically whipped Darth Sidius handedly and had him dead to rights (rude interpretation not withstanding). Finally I'd put forward Darth Bane, who was Malgus level tough as nails, supremely knowledgeable, disciplined, ruthless, impressively powerful, great with Sith alchemy and sorcery, master manipulator, took out the entire brotherhood of darkness and a bunch of Jedi military leadership in one go, aaaand was so good with a lightsaber that he would practice outside in the middle of a rainstorm without getting wet by a single drop. I mean come on...just saying...

I can't see Anakin beating Starkiller, simply because Anakin rarely leaned into the force-powers if he had a lightsaber in hand. Moreover, he had yet to really explore what the dark side could do for him, whereas Starkiller, for all his rawness and flaws as a fighter, understood how to destroy quite well. On the other hand, I could see a lot of ancient Sith and Jedi absolutely slaughtering Starkiller simply because they were just so far above him. Revan would definitely win any fight with Starkiller (whether darkside or lightside), and I could see Vitiate butcher him. The key aspects of deciding a fight with Starkiller is whether they can counter his powers (either through matching them, enduring them, or evading them) and whether they can counter his ferocity. Anakin was a lightsaber duelist from beginning to end, whereas Starkiller was a a destroyer that happened to have lightsabers in hand. Anakin's experience with force lightning, for instance, was primarily Dooku, who was all about refined usage. Simply put, Anakin didn't have experience with anyone as profligate in abusing the (brute) force as he was. To be frank, I can't see any Clone Wars era Jedi other than Yoda winning against Starkiller on first contact, including Anakin.

@@Silver_Sage663 Anakin was always the worst type of arrogant, whether it was as Anakin or after his Darth Vader persona took over. While he was also clever to match, he always had a noticeable tendency to do 'either or' when it came to wielding the force or wielding a blade (before the suit). At most, he would reinforce his power strikes or enhance his speed in most cases, only using chokes when someone pushed his temper or pushes when someone put him off balance. His first instinct was always to smash his enemies with an enhanced body and his lightsaber, which is great when you are facing a Clone Wars era jedi, droids, or someone like Ventress but a horrible choice against someone like Starkiller, who doesn't hold anything back at any time. Now if Darth Vader had not been mutilated and ever actually reached his potential, yeah, Starkiller wouldn't even be a blip on the radar, even with Anakin's and Vader's shared arrogance in the way. The fact is, pre-mutilation Vader hadn't been taught anything significant about using the dark side and was basically using it as a club to enhance stuff he already knew. It wasn't like after his mutilation, where he was using it all the time and integrated it into every aspect of his fighting style, right down to the slightest twitch of his mechanical wrists. I instinctively want to think that Anakin would win, as well, and I can understand why the channel's authors think so. At the same time, I think they are glorifying him a bit too much. The only equalizing factor I can see is that Anakin's emotions toward a theoretical Starkiller match would be flat, rather than the chaotic mess and slight insanity you were seeing during his conversations and duel with Kenobi.

Multiple Jedi from even the clone wars could beat him he was canonically actually only on par with Kenobi in force power the game made him seem more powerful than he was at the time he was canon. I think that the only people that can defeat Starkiller is Anakin Skywalker, Luke and Yoda. In many aspects because of their power in the force, their lightsaber skills and the experience. Like i can see all three of them being able to resist with difficulty the force onslaughts Starkiller dishes out, Starkiller has great saber skills because Vader trained him to develop a unique lightsaber fighting style that drew from many stances but essentially very erratic and with very odd combos few people could ever pull of. I see Anakin, and Yoda especifically using their saber experience and knowledge against this. Yoda and Anakin are specialist in lightsaber duels that can create unique openings to cut through Galen's defense. I dont see Luke as that great of a duelist but i may be wrong about that. I do however see where each one can lose, like Yoda may probably defeat him but that depends if he can do it before he tires himself out. Like yoda is very akin to dooku and Sidious in where they pull a lot of their power from the force to make their bodies faster and stronger. If Starkiller can batter those reserves he might win. With Anakin, starkiller can also use his sheer force damage output to weaken Anakin. Anakin didn't train very much his force powers so Galen may exploit that enough to win. Luke can lose in almost every department but can also win in every department. Like he became so powerful no one could kill him, he reached every force potential a chosen Anakin could have, and his experience with vader and Sidious is enough to make anyone a hardcore jedi. He also possess Obi wans discipline and patience that may help more than any of us could realize. Either way Starkiller is very fun concept and although its not cannon i enjoyed reading and playing like him. It honestly felt like the force was truly unleashed.

To me, the idea of "unleashing the force" is a sole trope. SK held himself in check, or he would be akin to a heedless berserker and would not fight with strategy which is another power that is taken for granted. We also hear about the old Sith and the sheer power of them and SK, but where are they now? What is their legacy? Like that of a roman candle. This idea of SK is power fantasy that brings the likes of Punisher fans and the fantasy of the Übermensch. SK to me is more in the path of Mace Windu who sits even more in the balance of both the dark and the light sides. Nothing does more than skill, training, and most of all strategy over just raw power.

commenting here since i thought it would be more visible. i was just listening to one of your lore compilations and i had to ask: what if anakin was the fulfillment of both the jedi and sith prophecies of the chosen one? we already saw him fulfill the jedi chosen one prophecy at the end of episode VI, but what if at the same time, he simultaneously fulfilled the sith ari prophecy? “he destroyed the sith and remade them”: seems relevant somehow to anakin’s new power shown in ahsoka S1 following his destruction of palpatine (before the latter somehow returned). apologies if this has already been covered on this channel. if so please eviscerate me with links

Kas'im, was that the blade master at the sith accademy when Bane was there? oh btw i think Banes aprentice would win to considering starkiller know nothing or basicly nothing about sith sorcery and she is higely proficent in that and she is a master of the defensive form. not THE master like obi wan but still A master of the form.

I would add Exar Kun, Revan and Bane… for the same reasons as Yoda. More experienced, possess much more knowledges about the Force and lightsaber combat. Those three are in order from less difficulty to more I believe.

You guys forgot to mention that Obi-Wan was Anakin's teacher and in revenge of the sith when they were twirling the lightsabers, they were not mimicking each other that was just the style they both used that was the style he taught Anakin, neither can make a kill shot they danced around each other because they could only use similar moves and technique. Also Obi-Wan knew that Anakin had studied multiple techniques multiple styles and not many other Jedi could actually go up against him when it came down to it because he had studied so many different styles and different techniques. In the lore Obi-Wan only tried 2 styles and relied on the one he was taught and he knew the most on and felt comfortable with.

Isn’t the reason Vaders armour is so bulky and tanky was because Palpatine wanted to hinder him however the pain he felt because of the armour connected him with the dark side more and he used that, he was offered better armour that would hinder him less and he said no because he had grown so accustomed to the suit he thought it would weaken him. Yes he was a very good duelist as Anakin and calculating but as Darth Vader he relearnt how to duel in a new form while also having less ability in the force due to having only one actual hand, he became a totally different animal while still having his old training.

When you were talking about Yoda I thought you might bring up his technique for redirecting dark side force lightning with his hands. That would mess Starkiller up. Mace Windu with full mastery over Vapaad would be a runner for Galen. I bet the Bendu could beat him easily, and third, maybe Mother Talzin if she was fully prepared with all the strongest Night Sister magicks and rituals (Sidious did consider her as a rival)🎉
