Hello, @enjoytraveling. I believe an auction was possible, but has been diverted. It was reported that it is also possible that Marriott is in negotiations to purchase the property. It is such a beautiful historic hotel. Let's hope this historic hotel remains for many more years.

@@TheStyleChase yes I agree ! . I hope is it stays the same owner or another owner that keeps s hotel so other people can enjoy it. I have not been yet, but I like historical places and at least the ground is kept for nature and people to enjoy

@@enjoystraveling Senator elect Jim Justice owns it and he provided the money to save the hotel from his own fortune. He has owned the Greenbrier Resort since 2009.
