Coming up back in the day, man a bunch of good times came to mind ,all the people, the backyards bar-b-ques,the house parties, summer in the parks concerts, & the cruises down to Marshall's Hall amusement park, live entertainment on the Wilson line boat ,driving over to the shrimpboat for some seafood take-out or to the greasy-spoon for a fat burger & fries ,miss those days alot of fun & bad times too ,the people who have passed away that made life coming up fun ,may they forever R.I.P. ,(amen) To All I Say This, Remember your past ,hold it dear to your heart &never let go

you can only write this if you've been there or looking for someone you lost out there. I know what a terrible feeling. if you know someone lost go find them they could use your love and understanding before its too late into the night.

I've walked the streets alone for so many years, does the pain ever go away. I listen to this song and my heart is so heavy looking for love and understanding. can you imagine being alone in a crowded room? living in the shadows I know the empty feeling in my soul. maybe one day I'll find my company out there somewhere.

I absolutely lived in a home like that my entire life, i felt so lonely and sought others to fill that void and i felt even worse and emptier...but the trick that worked was turning that search inward, for company and validation and although I am alone...I no longer feel lonely. I learned me and realized no one owes me their company...I do. Now I feel so fulfilled....I started my "falling in like with myself" journey in 2019 and am working thru my conditional love of myself and eventually I will finish at unconditional love for me...your search will end when you find you....alone. Trust me your community will follow....mine did ❤ Goodluck Love..😊😊

@@myststyque Thank You so much for the kind words and the encouragement I'm taking your advice and learning to love me. and to stop looking for comfort in the ones who are bringing me discomfort. I'm so tired of going to sleep sad and waking up the same way it's such a lonely place and I'm learning how to cope in a loveless marriage where things are not reciprocal thank you again.

I hope you’re safe if you ever come across this song, cuz Nika always welcomes you with open wings, and hoping you’re looking at the moon the same time I am. I love you no matter what. "Late at night, an empty feeling takes control of me and I can't fight it.." Sending some love to my fellow loners, losers, outcasts, the misunderstood. Anyone who keeps it together all day just to be reminded at night there's something missing in your life. You do your best to go fill that void with whatever you can...drugs, sex, alcohol...late night taco bell? Doesn't really matter does it. Know that even though you're lonely, you're not the only one.

I agree, I believe it is describing someone who is lonely. A lonely, kindred, restless soul who is roaming late at night with the same kindred souls in search of solace. The song is haunting until the first verse, it then becomes tranquilizing as is it a emotional, yet very relatable song. Those adlibs toward the end are trance like, but in a calming soothing tone. 👏🏾💕✨

Don't let it be. I was one them factually. I'm an introvert. Academically and technically intelligent beyond my years as a boy. My siblings identified me as strange and everything else not normal. Thus Children of the Night. Who wound up with technical jobs down through time, even at my worst. Children of the Night, we have dreams we turn real. A reality we can touch or experience. Don't let the dreams die inside you. My friend from a boy grew to be a physicist. Fan from the 60's.
