Ukraine has tweaked programs on some drones to where they essentially "lock in" on signal loss. It becomes a poor mans inertial guidance. The drone stays on the path of last solid signal guidance. trajectory. EW on vehicles doesn't go a very long distance, so it blocks the signals as the drone gets pretty close. but the drone stays on its last directed path. So in vehicle pursuit, the pilot tries to align on a straight path. and on signal loss the drone stays on that straight line trajectory and very often hits the target vehicle despite losing signal.

Impossible to say one side is “winning”, because right now russia has more of Ukraine’s territory, but they are depleting their capabilities at a horrendous rate. Right now russia is a lot like Germany was in 1944. Germany certainly thought they were “winning”, and they occupied a lot more territory in Europe than russia does in Ukraine - but they came to a crashing halt in 1945. The russians are about to feel that same pain. The kremlin is investing too much money in the trolls and bots who come to comment sections like this one, in a desperate attempt to sway public opinion over to their side - but that is failing, and russia has very few supporters outside the russian federation. Really, the russian federation has already passed the point of no return - they can no longer stop their runaway war economy that is about to collapse.
