A HUNDRED migrants stormed a picture-perfect beach in northern France and waded into the sea, where a “taxi boat” service awaited them.
These men and women - mainly from Vietnam and Sudan - lay in wait all night behind sand dunes in Gravelines, some ten miles from Calais.
And as first light began to illuminate the horizon, they sprang forth from the darkness and made a frenzied sprint for the shore.

Why the UK ??? Simple answer is that in the UK there is No ID Card requirement, this needs correcting Immediately, every genuine English Scottish Irish Welsh person needs to get the ID Card automatically and all the rest have to apply, but no card, no school, no NHS, no Bank account, no driving license etc. etc. so all non British get a thorough check if they want an ID card and every person Not entitled to be here plus known foreign criminals get deported Immediately, No exceptions !!

Hats off to the French! They have played this all very impressively. They receive loads of cash from the UK, they occasionally appear to stop a few dinghies to keep the cash flowing, but they also get rid of loads of unwanted migrants by allowing free passage, or even escorted passage, into UK waters. Given that claiming asylum on arrival in the UK is allowed in law, "people smugglers" aren't doing anything illegal at all.

Blame the Govt for major cut backs to our Military...Nato is busy deploying them elsewhere either for so-called peacekeeping or training other militaries. Do you think our Military like this? With cut backs in budgets, contracting out on most things they are not in a position to do this.
