Personally I would have to agree in all honesty and I know I got relatively lucky to be match with an opponent who either wasn't aware how to time their rolls properly to its timing or was just very very unlucky. Its not something you'd see high skill PvP'er use frequently apart from doing mix-ups but damn handy skill to pick up and hella fun once you get the hang of it as it allows a more aggressive playstyle with slower weapons

Unless they nerfed it in the time I haven’t played, you can do essentially the same thing with Great Spear and Halberd running attacks. Great spears are auto-timed, so if you press running attack as soon as it’s available to you you’ll catch the roll I haven’t played with Halberds much so I don’t know about that one.
