- LONG COMMENT WARNING - I've expressed my opinion of Jeremy Kyle from previous posts, videos, and comments, him being very hypocritical considering his real life history. JK is a very infamous character with the way he's made his money off that ITV show he presented over the last 14 years - I think the show should have been cancelled a lot earlier to have spared the likes of other guests or what happened with Mr. Dymond, but sadly it's going to be a stain on the reputation of both Jeremy Kyle and of ITV's reputation as a broadcaster. Pretty damning to be honest when you look at everything from top to bottom, and really puts a lot into perspective as to how misappropriate it was for the likes of ITV to run a show like The Jeremy Kyle Show to be on daytime TV for nearly 14 years straight, and also to have the likes of a host who acted the way he did towards civilians on his show and make them feel like they did. I think metaphorically - the show was pretty much a human circus, and Jeremy Kyle portrayed himself as the ringmaster. Using his power and authority, acting superior whilst berating his guests - sort of in the same way as a ringmaster would use a whip on the performing animals. Granted that Jeremy Kyle & ITV have been cleared of being the main preparators behind Dymond's death, but they did play a factor in it. The way I see it, is that yes: they are cleared in a court of law from this inquiry, but in honesty - it's more of the court of society that they have to win over. Jeremy Kyle is pretty much no way going to get the public's respect back with his classism behaviour. Whatever he does, whether he remains on Talk TV as a radio/TV host for a period of time, or he considers retirement in the future: A lot of people will not respect him for the way he behaved, and I think most people would feel better not seeing or hearing from him ever again. ITV - With everything that's gone off over the years with them including this situation with The JK Show. No disrespect intended, but they are acting no different than the BBC. I think they need a reality check on how they are conducting themselves from top to bottom, and pretty much get themselves back on track to being a valuable commodity. Nearly 70 years of existence, and this kind of stuff tarnish the legacy that has been built up by previous regimes. If ITV wants to be in existence and have the same longevity as the BBC has right now - They need to restore their values of being a valid and great independent provider of television programming.

I couldn’t even be bothered to read all of your rant! They were trailer trash 🤷♂️! that got paid and we all had a good laugh/cringe while watching. The whole thing stemmed from the USA/Jerry Springer etc. After being established for 14yrs and then someone does what they did, you can’t then blame the Jk show!? It’s not as if it was the first episode and they didn’t know what they were getting into, then they were so embarrassed/ashamed they felt they had to take that route. I definitely don’t think you can blame JK, he was doing the job that was asked of him! 🤷♂️

It was the biggest on day time at the time, that only proves that many people watched it, so people need not bother with the “I never liked him” blah blah blah. And you all know that Jeremy was simply the face of the show. Yes he was intense with the guests but that was his job to get reactions from the guests to create drama, if anything it proves it was real, much more real than shows like Jerry Springer and Judge Judy which were heavily scripted. I personally think that Steve Dymond's death had to happen for a change to happen. As the people on the show became a freak show, the same happened with Talent shows too. The show was meant to help people, but it humiliated them. These type of shows are what the US refer to as "Trash TV". Another example was shows like Benefits Street, where it gave everyone on benefits a bad name, where the majority of people who are on benefits are only on them short term, but the stats never focus on that, they only focus on "how many are currently on benefits". As change needs to be made, and I hope Dymond's family take comfort in the fact that he didn't die for nothing.

This is a very soft touch interview, no surprise considering Kyle's close connections to many journos at The Sun. I don't personally think he is directly to blame for the suicide, but it would be completely ignorant to think he or the show had no contribution at all. I don't think being outed as a liar and cheater on national TV would sit right with anyone, particularly a person who was most likely suffering with mental illness. There's a reason lie detector tests are considered pseudoscientific and not permissible as evidence in court, so it was always a bit sketchy when Jeremy 100% backed it without any hesitation and went on full attack mode. was never Kyle’s fault. producers are accountable not the guy hired to present it

He says he was "straight" with the guy when he spoke to him, completely skirting over the horrible things he actually said to him in the clip - things that would make anyone feel like garbage on a bad day. He has a way with words where he verbally polishes over what he actually says to disguise how awful it actually was. He often insulted and belittled people on his show, it's common knowledge! The fact he tries to smooth it over and dress it up as him just being a presenter is actually ridiculous.

I don't think it was his fault. Did he say some harsh things? Yes. Did he go a bit too far sometimes? Yes At the end of the day someone handed him a card which had results on which were wrong.

It's more about the fact they claimed the lie detectors were 96 percent effective. They knew they were 60 at best yet everybody who supposedly failed was lambasted and humiliated for their viewing figures.
@beckscald38553 ай бұрын
@@darrylscott6648 I mean yea I agree. Like especially at the time. Thing it was also an entertainment show and these people were desperately trying to prove their innocence.

How he can say his Conscience is clear is ridiculous. He shouted in peoples faces and called them liars. Even though lie detector tests are proven unreliable. The poor bloke was called a liar when he probably wasn't and im sure the contributed to what happend.

We need the Jeremy kyle show back, its a national treasure

It really doesn't need to come back. It should stay in the past.

It’s already aged horribly. And I watched bits of it myself, my mum did for example, but it’s okay to also understand, that’s with hindsight, it was wrong. Move on and find other avenues to entertain yourself that frankly are more healthy.

Hes so in love with himself. Hes a horrible person. He just sees himself as right. That's why we have horrible people in life controlling or trying to control

Nobody knew he was gonna do that, people with depression mask things very well, it was not on anyones conscious regardless

Conflict resolution is behind closed doors allowing people to take as long or as little as they need and doesn’t lead to people being despised or vilified or humiliated on prime time under the spotlight so this show had nothing in common with conflict resolution and neither did the presenter have any training in conflict resolution and risk assessment and management by the looks of it

First of all these lie detectors aren't even 100% accurate. I for one thing am going to be honest amd i think if most of us are honest theres a readon as to why this show won so many awards and thats because we all watched us so we ALL played a part in this vile culture that this show created and I'm ashamed of this fact. What i have also noticed is that not once has he apologised for this

You drove an innocent man to kill himself! Your conscience is clear is it jeremy! You will answer to god 🙏 and i hope he takes pity on your black soul! Edit - I didn't ask the audience to boo him... THEY WERE YOUR EMPLOYEES

It looks like the man has no conscience and is just an actor playing a role not a man with a heart and brain persuading himself he’s just played his part according to instructions. Glad this kind of show promoting cruelty & preying on the vulnerable to make a show of themselves for the sake of audience is over
