This is the board I loved the look of before getting the all-star airline for ease of use and rock basing. How would this fair against a few nocks in canals and rivers, easy enough to repair?

Hi, Thank you for the question. The Waterline and more importantly the Lite Tech construction has proved very hard wearing given it low price point. Often with 'cheap' constructions you have either a very heavy board or one that is seemingly made of paper... Starboard some how have avoided both of these short comings. Lite Tech is now in its second year and it is have proved very successful. All of our boards in demo are rail taped with RSPro (like the one in the video) which helps a lot. The only thing to be mindful of I would say is that the Waterline as a few sharp edges which are easier to knock. However, given the board is white and repair is easy enough. Also worth noting that no hard / composite board of any kind will be as hard wearing as an inflatable when it comes to taking knocks. Does this help?

Hi Nicky, thanks for watching and the question. Compared to the Fanatic Ray Pure we'd say that the Waterline edge's it in terms of performance when it comes to outright flat water smooth running conditions. The Ray Pure from Fanatic starts to come into its own against the Waterline as the water starts to chop up. This said, the Ray Pure is still relatively low volume in the forward sections and does also reach the limitations of this not to much later than the Waterline. If you are paddling in a broad range of conditoins; the SIC Okeanos is well worth a look as it is a hugely capable tourer.
