Great job! Does the rose clay look orange? I would like to make an all natural orange soap. What clay(or other ingredients) should I use to add some orange naturally. Thank you! I learned a lot just from this one video :)

hi, happen to see your comment, I am making an orange soap today using carrot powder - orange and patchouli EO. Hope it turns out! This is an older video so they might not see your comment.

The clay gives a kind of pink/orange look. To go for an orange colour I would recommend trying red Moroccan clay which gives an orangey red colour or perhaps annatto, which gives yellow-orange depending on how much you use. You could even mix a little Annatto with red clay if you feel like complicating things :-D

I am a new soapmaker, and I came upon your channel by happenstance. Your channel is wonderful and funny! I want to make a facial soap, but am worried about breakout and clogging pores. I also want to make a bar for my sister, who unfortunately has VERY oily skin. I definitely plan on using activated charcoal, but am at a loss as to what oils are best and any other additives would be best for my sister.

Thank you Cassie. Base oils that can work well for oily skin include jojoba, grapeseed and sweet almond oil. Essential oils that are good for oily skin include Geranium, Tea tree, Ylang Ylang and Lavender. I would also recommend incorporating some Dead Sea Clay powder into the soap as we find this to be really effective at helping to clear acne and breakouts. Hope this helps a little and have fun soap making!

Black soap, nope

Each to their own. Our charcoal soaps are one of our most popular sellers as a lot of people like the addition of the charcoal. The lather isn't black so it is a case of personal preference really :-)
