In this vlog, our family is in Rotorua. It’s located in a volcanic zone with geothermal activity and geysers which has attracted tourists who want to swim in natural mineral pools for a long time. But there’s also an entire industry with action activities in Rotorua and there’s an adventure park behind every corner. We try several crazy experiences during a day full of action, adrenaline and laughter.
We start the day at OGO Rotorua where Alma, Harry, mommy Joanna and daddy Axel roll down a hill in giant inflatable balls filled with water. Incredibly fun! We couldn’t have had a better start to the day. Thanks OGO! ogo.co.nz/
After that we head to Te Puia, a center for Mauri culture where Harry and Axel is taught how to do a Haka. We see Pohutu geyser, the largest active geyser in the southern hemisphere. She erupts once or twice every hour and sometimes reaches heights of 30 metres. We look at boiling mud and marvel at the fact that people want to bathe in it. There’s no mud bath for us, but a clay pack in a mineral pool at the Polynesian Spa. After that, the whole family do Freefall Xtreme, at the Velocity Valley. We also try the craziest swing; The Swoop Giant Sky Swing.
