What a great video. I really enjoyed the cabinet build, but honestly it's your narration and creativity making the video that I really appreciate. Thanks for this awesome video!

That's a great looking cabinet. I like the narration with the story and thought process about the projects it makes these videos a real pleasure to watch. The matt black finish suits the shadow of the bottle and as you said, matches the theme of the workshop well.

I have a similar planer, you can make a drill attachment for fast raising and lowering and keep it attached to an old battery drill so it’s done in seconds

Ha!
@TheSwedishMaker Жыл бұрын
Tack!

Nice work! What program did you use for the first animation of the cabinet?
@TheSwedishMaker Жыл бұрын
thanks! I used Blender for the animation. I export my files from Fusion 360 to Blender, apply textures and then animate there since Fusion doesnt really do animated videos with rendered quality.
@UrbanShopWorks Жыл бұрын
@@TheSwedishMaker Ahh interesting! I have not used blender yet perhaps I will have to check it out. Thanks!

yes check it out. It´s got so many features, but just to be able to do video renderings and photos as well is really fun.

Great video. I have a couple of quick questions though, as a maker in Sweden: Where do you get flat top grind blades? I’ve really struggled to find them. Same goes for self-centring drill bits, I can only find them in imperial from Trend or something. Lastly, do you have any good suggestions for wholesale wood suppliers? Currently using Ceos in Göteborg and Fredricsons in Malmö. I’m based in Malmö so delivery would be required. Cheers in advance!
@TheSwedishMaker Жыл бұрын
thank you! I bought the blade from verkter.se (CMT 285; 250x3,2x30; Z40; 15°) - self centering drill bits was from Amazon but they are indeed in Imperial. And Calexico has a lot of wood and I mainly buy from them.

its my dream to have a hang-out workshop too, I'm far from it now. I agree I don't care for the term man cave, sounds sort of mid-life crises or like some old dad that is sad about every other aspect of his life.

the black color made it look a bit IKEA-ish.. a staining oil would've looked better imo.

You have a beautiful wood in ash and you stained it. Black is not a colour. Happy New Year.
@TheSwedishMaker Жыл бұрын
As I understand it. On the light spectrum black is the absence of color but in the artistic world black is a mix of all colors.
@kevinronald4137 Жыл бұрын
@@TheSwedishMaker Black is a color which results from the absence or complete absorption of visible light. It is an achromatic color, without hue, like white and grey. It is the lack of colour which makes it so difficult to use. So much more pleasant would have been the contrast of white ash against your black wall.
@TheSwedishMaker Жыл бұрын
I still think it´s a color. In Sweden we say.....the taste is like the bum - divided

Why can’t you use gloves on your tablesaw? I use them all the time and I keep my hands, warm and safe from splinters.
@TheSwedishMaker Жыл бұрын
It´s because of the risk of getting caught by the blade and the gloves could potentially draw your hand into the blade. I guess if your not close to the blade it´s no problem. But there are always people commenting that I shouldnt wear gloves :)
@ninomaiorano6697 Жыл бұрын
@@TheSwedishMaker Well, if you have good fitting gloves and are careful to stay away from the blade area, it should be safe
