They are not huge complex stories that frustrate the viewers, but everyday stories we all can relate to. She shows the many depths of human emotions. The most amazing part is probably she always includes these details that no matter how awful someone treats you, there might be a reason we don't know of on why they behave that way. So be nice to everyone. Idk if I'm exaggerating at this but I'm sure there are many lives and minds changed after watching these heartwarming stories she made, including mine. And I'm forever thankful for that. When you're good at something and manage to entertain people at the same time making a difference, how amazing is that.

Reply 1988 is different from other typical kdramas. No rich/poor love story, no traveling back in time, no extraordinary people with supernatural powers. Instead it shows how life is a roller coster, it can be shitty sometimes but there are days that happiness just overflows. R88 also shows how important family and friends are, I think that's the main reason why some of us can't get over the show: it makes us miss hanging out with our friends and making it through everything with our family.

I would say go in order of Reply 1997, 1994 and 1988! (The dramas came out in this order) Cuz in 94 and 88 there are references made to the previous series and you’ll get a better kick out of them if you watch in order! :)

Among her works Reply 1997 has the best love Reply 1994 is the most relatable (for me since I watched it during my college years) Reply 1988 has the best moral lessons Hospital Playlist is the most detail oriented

after watching reply series and hospital playlist, i found my passion which is script writing. im a big kdrama fans so i watched a lot of kdramas. but out all of it, i think i must say i really really appreciate lee woojung. the story which seems just too normal to be in the television, she made it outstanding. she doesn't need complicated plot, dramatic story, or sexy kiss scenes but it's more than enough. everything is sooo well-written. even there were so many videos discovering the deepest meaning in every dialogues. i will become a script writer one day, and one and only lee woo jung will always be my inspiration!!! *cries

I want to thank this writer creating these amazing dramas specially reply 1988. Reply 1988 is the best kdrama i've ever watched and i watched it hundred times already (no joke). 50 years from now i still see myself watching it cause it's just that beautiful. reply 1988 brings warmth to my heart and it also comforts me.

Her dramas really just the best out there. So many life lessons with relatable characters and lines with heart warming scenes. When you finished watching one of her dramas you'll really feel empty because you were drawn to the storyline and you've come to love each of the characters. I seriously haven't completely move on from Reply 1988. 😭

That realization scene @ 3:31 really choked my heart. All the build up that happened from Episodes 9-10 all the way to this scene on Episode 11 hit so well. This plus all that happened from Episode 12-14 made me love Reply 1997 more than any drama that was written after, even compared to 1994 and 1988.

Agree! I know a lot of people are saying Reply 1988 was the best among the reply series( & has the highest cable rating among then) I would just like to share that the success of Reply 1997 started it all. It was then highest rated cable series and it was such a hit that the ending was aired in other channels. Also, the chemistry and OST! Aside from that these scenes from 6:20 had me crying so much.

there's so many stories portrayed in each of the dramas she wrote (reply series, wise life series), and the plot doesn't get boring at all cause there's so much to show about not only the story of the main characters but also the side stories of supporting one's. how she writes these dramas, that depict everyday normal life while still being really entertaining to its viewers, amazes me. also, there's just something unique in how she portrays relationships between friends and family that you can't get in other dramas. sometimes, i feel the need to take a break from dramas with heavy/unrealistic stories, and her dramas are the perfect ones to watch.

Reply 1988 is the best show I've ever watched. I will never forget the roller coaster of emotions it made me feel...every single character was so warm and relatable. Its a masterpiece! Even seeing who Deok Sun ended up with was so realistic and heartwarming; it was very beautifully explained and showcased. Became a classic drama even though it broke the cliche tropes we are used to !

All of her dramas are so good for healing they are so normal and not dramatic they are just so relatable and like based on daily life, they portray such deep relationships from parents to siblings to friendship to love everything, every small relationship. They are full of details and the dialogues are the best part they are deep but easily understood and relatable. Her stories are not to complex but just so heart felt. They are full of emotions and lessons. All of her dramas have comforted me in different ways and I always go back to them when i feel down or something. Can’t wait for her next project!
