in s1 he was light and she was shadow, in s2 she lit up his darkened world. the ying/yang themes throughout both seasons were really good and the fact that they fell in love with each version of each other, accepting each others vulnerabilities and thorns, is peak romance. there's no moving on from them my ukyeong couple😭

This drama moved my soul 🤣. It’s just one of those rare, rare dramas for me where one is drawn to watch it again after awhile. I loved S1 but fell in love with S2. Just love Go Youn-jung & Lee Jae Wook and so wish they could be in another drama together. Their onscreen chemistry is very believable. As for Crown Prince (Shin Seung-ho) and Maidservant Kim (Oh Na-ra) they were fantastic in their roles. Thoroughly enjoyed their respective scenes.

Jang Uk didn't lie when he said deep down in his heart from the first meeting he already recognized JinBuYeon as a Naksu. Because he unconsciously interested and really care about her. If we recall, when he first kidnapped JinBuYeon, he also looking at her to see if there are the blue mark in her eyes. Even if she is really not a Naksu, I think he would still love her, because as a lonely and the strongest mage, hearing a seemed vulnerable girl want to protect him must be really moved his heart well.

We deserved more than 10 episodes seriously. I know the agreed was 30 episodes for AOS on total before starting the filming but they should’ve divided more equally, 20 episodes for the first season wasn’t really necessary. If they really wanted more than 16 eps then they could’ve done s1 18 eps and s2 12 eps, honestly it would’ve made a difference! Forever bitter about it 😢

I liked both FLs for the series since they showed two sides of the same person in Naksu - S1 Naksu was forged by trauma and vengeance and had shut down her emotions to survive until she met and trained Jang Uk as Mu Deok, and learned to love/trust/be vulnerable again. In S2 she is freed of her traumatic memories and anger, so more of her true nature shines and guides Jang Uk back to himself, too.

i love that he healed her trauma in pt 1 by teaching her about love, and in pt 2 she returns that by healing him of his trauma. truly yin and yang, jin and jang
