Rusty i am a middle age metal head, Black Sabbath Cathedral, Doors, Hendrix, Type O Negative,Pink Floyd, and i came across The Sword's new album, Apocophyn or what ever it's called, this music is amazing, crushing riffs, brilliant songs, reminds me a little of Sabbath, but hell it's great stuff

@SpaceTrucker101 There's nothing modern about copying somebody else's style and sound. This band doesn't have an ounce of originality. At least some heavily influenced Sabbath bands such as C.O.C. and Trouble for instance were able to develop their own sound and style despite borrowing heavily from Sabbath. These guys are literally stealing Sabbath music and style.

A noob to The Sword XD I love every song. I just don't think the riff you talked about is THAT good. Compare it to the beginning of Freya, the 3 first riffs, they are all awesome, some of the bests riffs I've ever heard, and I've heard a lot, and that's all in the first minutes of the song. So to say that this song is overrated, I don't know what makes you say that. I also prefer the 2:26 part of Fire Lances of the Ancient Hyperzephyrians, with the solo and all. Just epic...

That's what you think, but even though The Sword are my favorite band I can say that Freya is like their most overrated song, you must be a noob to The Sword haha cuz nothing compares to Lament For The Aurochs man, I like all of their songs evenly but this song just seems to stand out alot more then the rest of them in my opinion

Good luck with your flatulence and might I suggest a simple easy cure for that - Try listening to some real music that isn't ripped off from somebody else. There are real talented musicians out there who actually contribute to the "community of rock" rather then insult it by copying somebody elses music and style.

it's overrated because it was a song that was on Guitar Hero and that's how most people know about The Sword, and people probably listen to Freya more then any other song, just saying man, Freya is a good song, but Lament For The Aurochs is so much better
