Thanks! But be careful with the older videos, though. Those published before September 2017 are sometimes out of date. The updated rules were published on August 31, 2017, so all videos that were published before that sometimes have outdated info. I plan to remake all of them, but I have very little time (running a shop is hard work ;o). Invincible is one of them.

I would take invincible over impervious just for the consistency. "ignore" is such a powerful word in heroclix. almost as powerful as "can't use" and definitely more powerful than "counter". an idea for another video explaining the differences? also, alpha strike gave you mad props in their January update. hope you saw it.

With Quintessence, you think everything will be fine, but noooooo... "Can't Use" will rain on your parade. Most certainly a good idea for a video, thanks. Yes, I saw the Alpha Strike video... thanks for the vid tabletop and armaggon is my fav Invincible character. O one question what does the line over the shield icon on the characters base mean ??

Thank you for watching and commenting. When you see a bar across the shield, that means the character is Indomitable. Not to get off topic, but I have been trying to look up if the Morph ability on Yellowjacket would effect theme team probability if you morphed him into the other characters since Yellowjacket is the only one that has Defenders on it....please help me out with this

If I remember correctly, Morph is like the newer Shifting Focus. If that's the case, the character on your starting Force is the one that counts for your themed team. The characters on the Sideline have no effect on this.

How would it work if you paired up, say, UXM001 Colossus with the NF Hulkbuster Torso, giving him both Invincible and Invulnerable at the same time>

You would have to choose which defense power activates. The Core Rules cover that, but it's the kind of thing that doesn't sink in until you actually have the situation happen in a game or think about the possibility of it happening. Here's the rule: "If a character can use multiple game effects to reduce and/or ignore damage dealt, only one of those game effects can activate, to be decided by the character‘s controlling player." (p.10, 2014 and 2015 versions) That's still very good, because choosing which defense power to use can really make a difference. If you get hit by something that deals penetrating damage, Invincible will often be the better choice. But if you get by a non-penetrating damage attack, the Invulnerability might be best depending on the amount of damage dealt. Non-penetrating damage 1 or 2 damage: Invulnerability 3 or 4 damage: Either power, same result 5 and up: Invincible Thanks for watching and participating!

Mystics is so annoying, I remember a WKO event last year I was on the second from top table my age of apocalypse Magneto whacked one of the many Klarions he was playing, Mystics took him off his single click of Invincible leaving him with Impervious for all his OTHER Klarions no Psychic Blast + Teekl perplexing them left right and centre, it was brutal... I just missed out on top 4 bc of that loss :') I don't have as much of a back catalogue here bc the pink powers are fairly new but my favourite Invincible character regardless is probably the 50 point Colossus from UXM, just because it usually allows him survive way more damage than any 50 point figure should :') The way I ususally deal with Invincible is just to hit them hard early on hopefully knocking them off it :') I also try to make sure I'm always doing an even number of damage so none in wanted due to the rounding up, for example if I have a printed 3 damage and Ranged Combat Expert I'll only put +1 on damage bc regardless of whether I do 4 or 5, the invincible character will only take 2, so the other +1 is better used on my attack value.

Oh yes! I forgot to explicitly mention that strategy with even damage values. I used Brutaal and Warlock in the examples for that reason, but should have stressed the importance of even damage values against Invincible. Thanks for mentioning it here. This is why these "after video" conversations are so great. Thanks for your always very insightful comments, Matthew!
