Yeah... It was a rather hefty capsule ;o). But it is so much fun, especially with all these new equipment-objects you can find in the Mighty Thor. Some special objects actually become more interesting, as well. For instance, the Joker's Gas Canister can now be picked-up, held and thrown by any character (no need for Super Strength anymore). Thanks for watching and commenting, Francisco!

Thanks, just finally got some TMT and was staring to have to think about this sort of thing so good timing ;) Also love the mirror pronounciation, especially as you're usually on point with weird names in foreign accents and such Just checking, Gungnir's +3 attack effect etc would be one time use, right? It says indestructible but that means it's destroyed in object attacks
@2mirandir7 жыл бұрын
Correct. When you use that attack Gungnir is considered a held object for the Object attack which includes it being KO'd in the process.

Regarding 'Resources'... Can any type of character be equipped with a resource (Supreme Intelligence for Ex.) or must it be a 'standard' character, like with 'object equipment?''

Can a character that has Super Strength but is not currently displayed on their dials still pick up heavy objects?

If you use the effect of a special object, like the axe that makes your rolls crit on 9-11, do you lose the object if you use that effect? Or is it passive?

Question: So a character with or without SS HAS to use an action token to equip a heavy equipment item (Thunderstrike for example). BUT, the yellow or red ring signifies if they can pick it up and just hold it, not equip it? That’s something I learned!
@2mirandir7 жыл бұрын
Yes. All characters has to be given a POWER action to equip an object, regardless of the character holding the object or the equipment being the character's square. Simply picking it up is not enough to equip an object.

Hello again! Can you clarify improved targeting: red? If there are other characters between the improved targeting character that is on elevation 1 and the character being targeted that is on elevation 2, would line of fire be blocked? If there were hindering terrain between them on either elevation 1 or elevation 2 , would the line of fire be hindered? Thanks again for the great service!
@TheTabletopTeacher7 жыл бұрын
Hi! The Line of Fire video needs a little updating, but part of the answer to your question is in there: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iZWsf52DjZaHopI . What's different is your character with improved targeting can target a character that's not on the rim. The other standard-size characters on the lower are not in the way. You can't overthink the physics of it too much. When a character ignore elevation for targeting purposes, I like to think the attack follows somewhat of a high arc, like a lobbed bomb or something.

Hello again again. Dormammu and Loki have the power Power Struggle for the Evil Eye which says: When Dormammu and Loki miss an attack and have no action tokens, after actions resolve, give them and action token. Can you please explain how this works with the new rules as now action tokens are given immediately?
@TheTabletopTeacher7 жыл бұрын
WizKids has updated the rules regarding the action tokens: "Just before the action resolves, give the character an action token. This signifies that you have resolved the action." So, when you miss an attack with D&L, that "character" will have two action tokens. Hope that helps.

I hope you aren't getting upset at these. My Hulk is on elevation 2 and is attacking Odin on elevation one using the connected elevation squares. Can Hulk use Quake for this attack?
@TheTabletopTeacher7 жыл бұрын
No worries... My answer times may vary, though. Yes, Hulk can Quake (or Smash ;o). The only target of that Quake will be Odin. Characters adjacent to Odin on the lower elevation are not legal targets for Hulk's Quake in that scenario. Hope that helps!

Did I miss something? We can have resources & special objects on a build now?
@2mirandir7 жыл бұрын
Yes, there is nothing in the new rules that prevents you from having some, or all, of your objects be special objects and also as having a resource on your force.
@TheTabletopTeacher7 жыл бұрын
Johan is correct. Only one resource and up to three objects in any combination of standard, special, light and heavy. More on this in Objects, part 1: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fmK6ZqOKirtpl5Y

I may have simply missed it, but do heavy special objects still act as hindering terrain like standard heavy objects?
@2mirandir7 жыл бұрын
Yes. Special Objects follow the same rules as standard objects unless something states otherwise. So a heavy special object hinders Lines of Fire.

Hey great video, i would like to know if in the " no táctics format" can we use special objects?
@indomitotv7 жыл бұрын
And, when a character equip a special object, repleace the standards powers on the dial or gain the special object powers? Thanks again Teacher
@2mirandir7 жыл бұрын
For the "No tactics" format an educated guess is that special objects will not be allowed in a "no tactics" game as they were found in the "tactics" section of the old rulebook. However since it is not anofficial format and might vary slightly between different venues it's best to ask the judge and/or organizerfor that event. When an equipped object or any other game element or effect grants a character new powers or abilities they are always in addition to what it allready have. Unless something specifically states otherwise.
@TheTabletopTeacher7 жыл бұрын
As Johan was saying, there's is no "Tactics" section in the new rulebook. One way to see that game format going forward could be "No Additional Game Elements" as explained in Part 21 of the Core Rulebook. Thanks for watching!

Got a question, if a character is equipped, can he also hold an object? Or do the equipment count as an hold object?
@2mirandir7 жыл бұрын
An equipped object is not a held object. It's two different mechanics. So yes, an equipped character can also hold an object.
@TheTabletopTeacher7 жыл бұрын
Johan is correct! Think of it this way: once a character is "equipped" with an object (POWER action to do so), it's a little like that special object is now "part of the character". It's only if you equip another special object that you would lose the first one.

hi table top teach! me and a friend played a game with superman uncommon from elseworld with impervious and hogan with knobbed mace equipped. hogan attacks and succeeds, superman then rolls for imperv and succeeds. he doesn't take damage but does he take the -2 to attack? i think he does. thanks for any help you can provide, keep up with the great vids!
@TheTabletopTeacher7 жыл бұрын
Yes, Superman would have a -2 to his attack. The opposing character only needs to be hit, not to take damage. It's the distinction between being hit and taking damage that's important here. Sure, Superman doesn't take damage - he's not hurt - but he was still "hit".

Does this mean that if the mirror is auto equipped to enchantress i need to pay 7 points to use the mirror or can I used it immediately?
@TheTabletopTeacher7 жыл бұрын
Precisely! Enchantress starts the game with the Mirror of Mysolljh equipped; you don't pay for it and it does not count toward your object allowance. She was on a team with Bet Ray Bill recently and it was fabulous; moving opposing characters so that they become good targets for Energy Explosion was super useful. Have fun!
@bkmikmik45347 жыл бұрын
thanks a lot
@WyldstaarStudios7 жыл бұрын
You indicated that if the Mirror of Mysolljh is not equipped, and is instead used as a light object, that it is KO'ed after being used in an attack. The card for the Mirror of Mysolljh indicates that it is indestructible. Why would the object be KO'ed if it is indestructible?
@2mirandir7 жыл бұрын
Because that is what the Indestructible keyword means. Rulebook page 35: "Indestructible - This object can only be KO’d by using it in an object attack or by its own effect."
@TheTabletopTeacher7 жыл бұрын
Johan is correct. The keyphrase "Indestructible" can be a tad misleading. It doesn't mean the object cannot be knocked out by its own use or through an object attack, but it cannot be destroyed through a CLOSE or RANGE Destroy Action. The only way to destroy it, is if you actually do something with it; it can't be destroyed by attacking it while on the map.
@Robcockulous16 жыл бұрын
It is very misleading. It lead our group to think that every time a character equipped with an Indestructible item uses it in an attack, it is destroyed. This doesn't make sense for weapon items (like Executioner's Axe) that logically should be re-usable.

Does roll "2d6" mean anything special?
@TheTabletopTeacher6 жыл бұрын
It's another way of saying roll two dice. A d6 is a regular six-sided die. Other dice are seldom used in Heroclix; some limited edition figures had a special d20.
@larryiguidez40727 жыл бұрын
Can you eguip a duo figure with a special object?
@2mirandir7 жыл бұрын
No. To equip something the character has to be a standard character. The requirements for being considered a standard character is listed on page 31 in the rulebook. One of those requirements is that the character can only have the standard fist as it's attack symbol. So duos does not qualify as they have the duo fist symbol.

Can you please make a video explaining ''Relics'' ? :)
@2mirandir7 жыл бұрын
I'm guessing that relics are pretty far down on the priority list as it is a game element that is being phased out. Relics are Immobile special objects. They cannot be moved, placed or be picked up and held like light and heavy objects. They also cannot be destroyed. To pick up a relic a character that occupies the same square as the relic can be given a POWER action to roll a d6 that cannot be rerolled. This is called a "relic roll" and to be sucessfull the result of the roll must be within the range specified on the relic's card. If the roll is successfull the relic is placed on the character's card and it can now use the effect on the relic's card. If the roll is unsuccessful the the relic will remain in that square and the character will have to try again on another turn. *Note* that a relic is *not* equipped. A caracter can have as many relic's assigned to it as there are on the map and it can also have another object/character equipped to it. But just as with equipped objects a relic is not considered held by the character it is assigned to. And the character does not need to be a Standard character. It can be a giant, colossal or even tiny. It just can't be a vehicle or a team base, if I remember correctly. And it doesn't matter which force the character or relic is on. You may try and pick up your opponent's relics and vice versa. When a character that is assigned a relic is KO'd, the relic is always dropped in the square that character last occupied. There are two ways to score a relic: 1. If all the characters on the same force as the relic is KO'd. 2. If your opponents relic is assigned to one of your characters when the game ends you will score that relic.
@Ubicated7 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I have a relic that I bought before and never used it, searched online and there was no good explaination at all
@TheTabletopTeacher7 жыл бұрын
Johan is correct! And he is also correct that Relics are far down the priority list since they're being phased out. In essence, you could say that equipment-objects are a little like relics, but you can't fail to equip them and are usually not immobile.

Interesting, thank you for your response :) I really enjoy your videos keep it up!
